I'm not wallowing in despair today over the loss to EWU because I didn't think the Griz would win. In fact, the only game that had me upset was Cal Poly because I antcipated the other losses. If that makes me a bad fan, than so be it but we just aren't that kind of team, well program now that expect to win every game. Even at the onset when we antcipated a much better OLine ,better play out of JJ with a stable of stud receivers I believed losses to Wyoming, NDSU and EWU were probable. I didn't see Cal Poly being a loss and I always think we can beat the Cats.

The simple truth is Mick needs to bow out. I believe he stepped up in a time of need and for that I am greatful but he has run his course. We have a historic opportunity to re ignite this program with the right coach. The program needs an innovative OC and just one. There is a reason why nobody uses two OC's, it doesn't work. We need a HC that will manage the clock and with the appropriate concern regarding special teams. Special teams can't be an after thought and the HC needs to manipulate the clock to the teams advantage.

It is very simple, we are and were overrated. Our Oline isnt playing all that well together and JJ, either due to the former, the OC or whatever reason is not playing like the old JJ. Our defense plays well but due to being out there so much, they break down. And our special teams is everything but special. All that being said, they need to win the next two and we can look for a new future.

Everything you say may be true Born2 and I won't even argue against your points because I agree with many of them. I also have been a vocal critic of this staff. Having said all that, it does not matter what the hell we on Egriz think. Unless Haslam believes it is time for a change or MD steps down voluntarily - we are stuck with what we have for coaching. Personally, I like the long term prospects for the program much more than what they have going on in Bozo. There is light at the end of the tunnel for the Griz. MD's time is limited one way or the other. RASH is in BOZO for the long haul. They can't really get rid of him and given their administrations willingness to stick with both the w/m's basketball coaches for so long - he may be there forever (unless he chooses to move down the road on his own). The Cats are stuck in mediocrity and so are the Griz for NOW (injuries are also part of the problem for the Griz this year). Two to three years down the road, I suspect the Griz will be right back on top of the BSC. Especially given their recruiting. I can criticize the Griz coaches play calling, time management/timeout management, and special teams play- but I certainly will not question their recruiting efforts and wins. The future looks bright with the expansion of facilities being funded. Patience, we have been spoiled as fans for a long time. That is the real truth of the matter and a few tough years should be expected. We may still make the playoffs as well. Here is to the present and future of the program.
