Since we're griping about officiating, Nash got away with 2 pretty blatant holds on throws earlier in the game. Both times the receiver had him beat and he grabbed on to his jersey to keep it from a scoring play. Officiating is what it is - they key is to play good enough that a single call won't make or break the game.

That's very true. I remember after one of those times it wasn't called, Bobby pulled Nash to the sideline and was not happy with him at all, although it may have had to do with his attitude, also. Nash was flustered in a bad way, and it showed.

Ya, the griz announcers even commented several times that griz DBs were getting away with blatant PI no calls. As Bobby said, that game could have easily been 28 or more to zip at half.

Honestly, if those penalties were called on him - I'd think it's better to chance getting a 5 yard penalty than giving up a TD.

Ummm I am quite sure (unless I’m confused with another series) that the Griz got a make up call from the other ref on that same drive just a couple plays later. It was 3rd and like 8 and they called a defensive hold on our receiver that bailed us out and gave the Griz first and goal. They scored after that on the misdirection to Eastwood so that face mask had no impact. Maybe I’m confused with the series.

A play or 2 before Curran's fumble, Sneed was sacked with a facemask. It was easy to see on replay. Also, an earlier PSU possession, one of the GRIZ was called for some kind of PI, hold, or something similar, it too was a bs call. I don't remember the result of that drive for PSU though.

Easy to see the facemask live (and on replay). Obviously, for some, much harder to follow the progression of the series in the game and realize the facemask had absolutely no effect on the game. Griz scored a TD a couple plays later, then forced a fumble on PSU's next possession, but then fumbled back to them with the resulting short drive to set up the nice game-winning FG.

Some of you guys that watch it live, bitch at refs, watch it on reply again, bitch at refs again....and can't even follow the progression of the game??!!

Before the UM fumble...there was the PSU fumble! After the "facemask" there was a quick UM TD that made the "facemask' irrelevant!

Possibly more relevant.....before UM's fumble (after PSU's fumble) there was a UM incompletion on first play of drive, then a 17 yard run by Eastwood for first down, another incompletion, a 7 yard run by Eastwood, then completion and fumble by Curran.

Two rushing plays for 24 rushing yards on that drive, 2 incompletions for no yards and a completion and fumble for no yards. Run the ball! Get another first down! Run the clock! Win the game!

I know....but not sure if the guy that's posted 19,000+ times had acknowledged it yet. He watched the game live and on replay and still posted his make believe game sequence. Figured it would take more than your post to help with his recollection of the game.

The biggest play on the last drive was Sneed scrambling but then missing a wide-open JLM. That would have easily gotten the Griz inside the twenty, if not significantly better. He was on the run, but we need that play in that moment, one of many that just didn't happen last week.

That was a HUGE miss by Sneed. From where I sit in the nw wing, JLM was taking that to the house as he was wide open and no one really around him. Sneed had happy feet and blew that one. That would have been game.
