If I recall correctly, his alcohol consumption was an intricate part of his "guilty but don't be too hard on me because I'm not really a douche bag rapist" defense. Drinking while on parole was incredibly stupid. Drinking in public while on parole is beyond stupid, and might well be characterized as the big middle finger to law enforcement, his victim and the public. There comes a time that no matter how fond you are of someone who is sweet and lovable in second grade, you accept that just maybe they've grown up to be a complete amoral douche bag. The guy got out early promising he wouldn't do this. I have no sympathy or empathy for him, and wouldn't be surprised if the presiding judge doesn't as well. And I'm sure he's well aware of what the papers will say about his former sports relationship if he got in trouble for any reason.

it's a money game. There are people that profit off of prisons jails and incarcerations. A large number of them. They give kickbacks to officials to keep it a revolving door. Chemical Dependency is the strong point. 6/10 will end up back in jail. Also they are the most likely to be paroled or placed on probation. Why? To keep the revolving door going to keep the prisons full.

So defense attorney extraordinaire Datsopolous did nothing throughout the case (made no arguments, discussed no facts of the evening, researched no law, talked to no witnesses, reviewed no evidence) in investigation, at omnibus,through motions and negotiations, and culminating in sentencing and initial parole hearing that can be described as providing a defense? Right. :roll:

I found dozens of articles just typing in his name, some implying or even explaining how Beau thought he was being treated too harshly with his sentence, and although confessing to raping her on tape, later blamed the victim calling the rape a "hookup". First class douche by anybody's definition.

This is exactly the point that PR was making in the previous thread. There is no reason 6 years after the fact for the Missoulian to be highlighting the fact that he was a football player at UM.

A simple "Beau Donaldson arrested in Bozeman on a parole violation.", would suffice. Those who are interested would get all the facts necessary without needing to know he was an " Ex-Griz" football player.

For that matter, would this even make the news if he weren't an ex-griz football player!?

Yup, a dozen Stanford law friends (most of whom will be starting out at $180,000 a year at their firms this fall). How does that compare to your income? Lol. My daughter knows Beau. Same class in high school. Our family knows Beau. You got any problem with that?

Actually Beau did confess to raping the victim in interview with police and he did not receive the harshest sentence in Montana. Beau took a plea agreement and was sentenced to 30 years with 20 years suspended and he only served about 3 years in prison..

It's all been reported and you could have confirmed that in 10 minutes if you wanted to know the truth, instead of coddling this monster. If this gal hadn't come forward that night to report what he did, or if he hadn't fessed up to her on the recorded call, countless other women would likely have met the same fate.
