Beau Donaldson - Back in Jail

Based on the theory that one sin cancels another … or at least obfuscates it, and confuses people … I like to drink AND text while driving. However, reading these posts has me riddled with guilt, so I am phoning myself, now, with a stern chastisement. I feel so bad that I just can’t wait until I park.

This is rich....lmao. Pot meet kettle. And I've never heard of Ryan Lief.

You were probably stalking Leaf too. Hoping he would have more problems, right?

No master. I leave that to you. Everyone knows you are. You try to find out personal information about posters. Love to throw out demeaning items, and then gloat about it. Anyone tells you anything you take it upon yourself to discredit them, by trying to get dirt on them. There are dozens of posts that prove this - in your own words.

When you lost the Umass argument, I actually told Derek not to be surprised if some knucklehead from Montana tried to reach him - to get dirt on me, or try to discredit me. He laughed, and said he had enough of that type of personality at UMass already.

I don't try to get dirt on people. I could care less about the dirt of anyone on eGriz. Using yourself as an example, I have never known anything about you other than what you said about yourself on eGriz. How did that UMass move up experiment work? I told you at the time that it was stupid.

Not really an experiment. They are still FBS at this time. I never gave my opinion on whether it was a good idea or not - I understood the logic though, and just thought their timing was bad. The idea was to be in the Big East within a few years, because some in the program felt that schools like UConn would make good rivalry, and BC too. But the BC left, and the Big East basketball programs left, so football was hung out to dry. DK's opinion was they were putting to much emphasis on where the football program was going to be, rather than the other sports. Atlantic-10 was, and is a good fit for them already - but Derek is no longer there so for him it matters not.

This is exactly the point that PR was making in the previous thread. There is no reason 6 years after the fact for the Missoulian to be highlighting the fact that he was a football player at UM.

A simple "Beau Donaldson arrested in Bozeman on a parole violation.", would suffice. Those who are interested would get all the facts necessary without needing to know he was an " Ex-Griz" football player.

For that matter, would this even make the news if he weren't an ex-griz football player!?

If he'd just read this thread and stick to drinking in his truck...

Missoulian running a bright red "Breaking News" banner ref this topic on the top of their home page. Ridiculous.

On parole and goes to a bar! What a dumb ass. Chemical dependency very likely, but to go drink in public is just flat out stupidity. Cue PR in 3....2....1

The "cue" was actually for people like you. He apparently had some alcohol/pill issues in college, or developed them. If he has chemical dependency issues now, let's crucify him in the press and on the internet. That surely will help--or at least make people like you feel better about yourself. Let's lock him up, and help keep our state taxes high.

"Overall crime in Montana is at its lowest since 2000, declining 18 percent through 2014, although the rate of violent crime has remained fairly constant and has ticked up slightly.

Despite the drop in crime, arrests increased 12 percent from fiscal 2009 through fiscal 2015.

The biggest increases in arrests are for drug-related crimes or for violating probation, parole and failure to appear in court. Arrests for the latter categories more than doubled the past six years.

Montana’s jail incarceration rate jumped 67 percent from 2011-2013 – 10 times or more than the rate of increase in neighboring states."

Didn't you mention your daughter's going to be in town with a bunch of coeds this week? Why don't you reach out to Beau and see if he needs a couch to crash on for the next couple weeks. Don't forget to give him the keys to the liquor cabinet :thumb:

This is a totally classless post Ursa Major. I don't agree with PR on a lot of subjects but when you make these innuendos regarding his family you are stepping way over the line. I would hope you would have enough class to apologize to him for this unwarranted remark.

Yup, a dozen Stanford law friends (most of whom will be starting out at $180,000 a year at their firms this fall). How does that compare to your income? Lol. My daughter knows Beau. Same class in high school. Our family knows Beau. You got any problem with that?

Forget it, Griz1. Ursa Minor has no class. ;)

Newsflash. This guy was part of a highly publicized rape scandal that ended up as a national bestselling book. The whole issue has contributed to 20% decline in UM enrollment, budget cuts and layoffs. OF COURSE THEY ARE GOING TO WRITE ABOUT HIM VIOLATING PAROLE!!
Krakauer is making Facebook posts about it as well....

Absolutely not. PR has made the comment before about having no problem with his daughter associating with Beau. PR opened that can of worms all by himself. I'm just checking to see if the recent events have changed his mind.

I couldn't agree more! It drives me crazy that the "ex-Griz football player" ID is always used in such stories. Why not something like "ex-UM political science major"? It is just as relevant.

If I recall correctly, his alcohol consumption was an intricate part of his "guilty but don't be too hard on me because I'm not really a douche bag rapist" defense. Drinking while on parole was incredibly stupid. Drinking in public while on parole is beyond stupid, and might well be characterized as the big middle finger to law enforcement, his victim and the public. There comes a time that no matter how fond you are of someone who is sweet and lovable in second grade, you accept that just maybe they've grown up to be a complete amoral douche bag. The guy got out early promising he wouldn't do this. I have no sympathy or empathy for him, and wouldn't be surprised if the presiding judge doesn't as well. And I'm sure he's well aware of what the papers will say about his former sports relationship if he got in trouble for any reason.

Trust me I felt just fine about myself prior to the dumb ass violating. But now he brings more bad press to the university/program ( whether should be reported on because he played football is another issue). Krakwhore will further crucify the University (maybe he will write a sequel and you will once again make it into print for your posts). In a day of declining enrollment this NOT what was needed. He has zero to do with Stitt and his program but that won't matter to many, and that can surely not have a positive effect for the football program in the public perception .

And, yes he also now will likely cost me some more tax dollars for his stupidity.

His probation violation in Bozeman, for an offense in 2010, that he was sentenced for in 2013, is going to affect UM enrollment in 2017? Why not MSU's? Pretty scary having a guy like this on the loose in any town.

This is an important point. The reason it is so publicized is be cause it sells papers, airtime, and clicks. Simple economics.
