not to mention (this probably isnt 100% accurate, but close), our boys shot about 7-25 in the second half... many of the misses on three's with no rebounders... we need more muscle
The biggest factor in the game was BC was taller, faster, more physical, and more athletic. The Griz did really good this season, they're young and they are getting great experience. This year the 2nd round, next year the sweet 16.
Yeah, it just seemed like JV vs. Varsity out there. And that's nothing to be ashamed of, it's just that BC has some horses man! With that said, the griz put on a nice little run, and I am proud of them.
I picked BC as a final 4 team before the tournament started and if the refs let them play like they did today, I have no doubt they will make it. When they were letting Smith drop his shoulders on the way to the basket, I knew we were in trouble. In fact I looked over at my wife at about 10 mininutes left in first half and said "we are going to lose bad if the game is allowed to be that physical." They wore us out. We were too beat up to go inside for a rebound in the end. It did not matter how the game was called, BC is a level above the Griz. I sure do wish Pacific could have pulled off the miricle. We would have matched up better with them. I am still proud of our Griz.
I guess both played in the game last year though neither scored. Sean Williams had six rebounds and five blocked shots in twenty minutes of playing time while McLain had only one rebound in seven minutes.
