watching the micheal ray highlights, one thing jumps out at me: nowhere does he travel. nor did earl the pearl with his incredible tight spin moves or dr. j on his soaring drives to the basket. today guys take three, four steps and it's rarely called. the nba thought they were encouraging incredible plays and highlight dunks, but they really took from the purity of the game. i miss that.

oh, and note the matt martin highlights: montana 28, boston college 24. this was to advance to the sweet 16, a goal the naysayers said was totally out of the realm of possiblity for montana. it wasn't at that moment in that highlight, and it's not in the future. we...can...do...it.

The NBA is about 1 step away from being a complete joke now... They might as well start the merger with pro wrestling and get it over with... You have corrupt refs & 'star' players who get damn near every call and can travel frequently without it being called, etc etc... Good defense is penalized to help games become more entertaining (more offense). College basketball is much more fun to watch in my opinion.

Sweet 16? Very possible! It is funny how many people blasted Wayne Hogan for mentioning that....then in 2006 it became a possibility when the Griz knocked off Nevada, and played close with BC for the first half. Unfortunately BC was too much for them.

Of course, BC was very close to not even getting into the 2nd round, since they almost lost to Pacific in the first round. A foul was called on one of the pacific players (a very controversial call really...I cussed about it quite a lot while at home for my lunch hour watching it live) with very little time left after pacific lead by 6 in that overtime, which sent BC to the free throw line in the first overtime. BC Tied it up by hitting the foul shots and sent the game into the 2nd overtime, where BC ended up winning... Had Pacific not choked (or that foul not been called) the Griz would've been playing a #13 seed in the 2nd round, and not a very large, very physical BC.

what I want to see is Kevin Criswell's last play in the dahlberg arena. Where he dunked (for the first time that I had ever seen) over some big dude, was fouled, hit the freethrow and walked off as they subbed him out as the crowd went crazy.

Nice. I just watched the Criswell dunk like 10 times in a row, that was a fun game to be at..
