Battle of the "Class" - tit for tats

On cue, the immediate Bobcat conversation on twitter shifted from the outcome of the game to the argument over which fanbase is "classier" - in reference to bobby saying "battle of the brawl or whatever you call it, I call that an ass-kicking!" that triggered a lot of snowflakes over there and now that's all they have as an argument...

Bobby is a Montana guy and understands the rivalry more than anyone. This game was a legacy defining moment for him - he absolutely demolished his rival, won the Big Sky Title, and secured the 2 seed for griz nation to have home field advantage through the playoffs. Good for him for being excited and celebrating a HUGE win, perhaps the BIGGEST cat griz ever as much on both fan sites were saying. That absolutely was an ass-kicking and there is no other way around it.

As far as "who is classier" debate, which ultimately comes out after every cat griz game like clockwork:

As long as their fan base is constantly chanting ESG GCG at every single sporting event, wedding, family gathering, with not a single griz fan or player in sight, condoned and encouraged by the schools administration... they will never, Ever, ever have the moral high ground. That is the trashiest little brother complex thing ever, and not one comment of an "ass kicking" by a coach will ever change that. It's a rivalry and our coach GETS it. How about employing 2 coaches that activiely got DUI's during the season? One of them the 3rd and the other FLED THE SCENE OF A DRUNK ACCIDENT IN A UNIVERSITY VEHICLE and was attempted cover up by other staff members! Crickets from the Admins! HAHA - and they are crying no class because of one comment? GIVE ME A BREAK!

another note - group of 4 cat fans sat behind us at the game - I was friendly with them and offered a fireball or two - told them not to let anyone give them a hard time. They proceeded the ESG CGC while our seniors were walking out with their parents! and they were just pompously holding tall boys in there hands drinking them without a care in the world. I even warned them - hey guys might want to at least try to hide that. toward the end of the game when Ostmo scored that TD - security just happened to come as we were all high-fiving and threw them all out LOL the timing was glorious. we all waived bye bye - decisive to say they didn't have a very good day.

FYI- what cat fans won't tell you is that Bobby joined the bobcats prayer circle after the game. There is a picture of it circulating around - I know.. even I was surprised to see that.

The point is the "battle of the class" is just a dumb loser mentality thing that one side says when they lose, and it's overdone and pathetic. Rant over.

It’s all about context. Within the context of the game, it’s “do or die”, flight with all your might”, (etc.) . After the game, it’s “these are college students who, win or lose, gave it all they have” and life goes on. Fans who lose perspective (or never had any) are a detriment to the spirit of amateur competition and deserve no respect.

bub fans whining about BH's lack of class for calling an ass kicking an "ass kicking" while they have multiple coaches on their sideline with multiple pending criminal charges is the height of irony (not to mention insanity)

...it was good to see Bobby had a little 'fire in his gut' especially going into the playoffs..
like he said we weren't that good in the beginning of the year but were going to be hard
to beat now!...(something like that! )..he is excited what this team can do!...it a great victory
for the players and the coaching staff! They Kicked Ass!

We had 3 Cat fans just below us - but the woman had a blue and yellow knit hat and a maroon and white scarf. On the back of her sweatshirt it read "I am the true definition of Switzerland".
😁
I didn't get a chance to ask her about it because they came in right before kickoff and left soon after Ostmo's TD.
They seemed like a nice group and appeared to really enjoy the Griz Vision entertainment.

That said...FTC.

This the reaction of fan base that just saw an “ass kicking”. They can whine and say Bobby isn’t “classier” but Bobby spoke the truth. It was an ass kicking. 90%-maybe 89%-of the Cat posters who come on Egriz, do nothing but trash the Griz players and coaches. You can’t tell me that doesn’t parallel the true thoughts of that fan base. It’s an emotional rivalry, and Bobby is a Griz thru and thru. He backs his players, and speaks from the heart, and I support his synopsis of the event 100%. It’s incredible what happens when the shoe is on the other foot. Last year, when we got trounced by the Cats, the posters on Egriz did nothing but say things like, we got our asses kicked, or even call for Bobby’s head- like many did after the NAU loss; but it was never comments on the classlessness of the Cat players and coaches. Real programs blame themselves for poor games and performances, and also rans look for excuses, and blame others for their shortcomings. As long as the Cats are the little brother in this rivalry, it will always be that way. Kudos to the players and coaches for representing the state of Montana. Congratulations Bobby on the ASS KICKING!
GO GRIZ!!!

Tits over tats. It's a no brainer.

And if your sis shows up on turkey day with a bobcat tramp stamp, just pay to get it removed. No need to say anything.
