I prefer to think that we are about 3 weeks away from a brand new successful era at UM. If we have a new coach, a game-changing upgrade to our facilities. etc. A lot will happen shortly. Kent Haslam has a LOT riding on this next hire.

So true. Great times are ahead. The incoming recruiting class looks fantastic. The weight/locker rooms project is about to break ground, and its a game changer when it comes to recruiting. I believe after Mick retires at the end of the season Haslam is going to hire a guy who will energize Griz Nation. I just cant for the life of me understand the people who think our success is over. Have I missed something? Is JJ throwing a ton of picks, I don't have access to the same media coverage up here but I put him at 17 TD's and 4 Ints. He lost Henderson, his best receiver and is playing behind 5 rookies on the line. Not exactly crap numbers then is it?

We've lost 4 games. One to an FBS where we were leading until the lightning. Don't bother telling me how crap Wyoming is because they still get all the advantages of being an FBS. We lost to NDSU in their cow shed (or out there I assume corn crib) in a pretty close game. I don't have ESPN up here but from what I understand NDSU has been half decent the last few years. We lost to EWU at their migraine inducing blood stain of a field, where they haven't lost since like before Breaking Bad became a reality TV show in the hills around Cheney. And we lost to Cal Poly, the number one rushing team in the country.

Could be we had the toughest schedule in maybe the whole country and we are going into the last week at Fortress WGS, where all likelihood a win gets us back in for like the 22 time in 24 years or some ungodly thing like that. We have a chip and chair and we play the hand.

Your obsession with me is right out there for all to see. All that means is that you are a clueless hack who can't discuss football, but spend hours trying to come up with cute little ditties to feed your insecurity complex. Until the over-educated fool that runs this university figures out the importance of this program to the school, the community and the state I am afraid this is the new standard for the GRIZ.

Personally I think, until the "over-educated" eGriz posters learn football isn't king at the UM, then I I'm afraid you will never be happy. I have no opinion on the guy, but football, and athletics in general should not be his top priority.

Just a thing or two wrong with the premise of your post. 1) Where did I say that athletics should be his top priority? 2) When a program such as the one that we have brings in as much $$$ to the University as this one does, you better damn well make it some kind of priority. Other than you completely ignoring the facts as they are, your post is dead on. :thumb:
Not to mention that on the pregame radio show they mentioned the Football program is the only sport that operates in the black, EVERY OTHER SPORT COSTS THE UNIVERSITY MONEY BY OPERATING IN THE RED.

Pretty much just the idiots fall into that category. The vast majority know that my information is almost almost good, and my analysis is much better than most.

In a nutshell at a macro level:

1) Our past hubris caused us to rest and allow the culture to get out of hand.
2) We drank our own koolaid.
3) Leadership has struggled with athletics and complicated matters with these one year contracts.
4) Mick is not the guy.
5) JJ was over rated.

Correction. JJ is great in the offense he was brought here to play in just not so much in the 3 yds and a cloud of dust offense Mick wants to run. Especially not behind the sieve like O line he is being forced to play with.

JJ probably has as many rushing yards this year as in 2011...problem is the 2014 yards are behind the line of scrimmage and the 2011 yards are beyond the line of scrimmage.
