The narcissism and hypocrisy on egriz is thick. If you think that cat fans are the only bad fans you have your head up your ass. Here are some of my personal examples:1. I have had griz fans physically abuse me twice, once when I was fifth grader walking in the stands of the old bobcat end zone and a griz adult took my hat off my head and threw it in the end zone, luckily for him I was only and fifth grader and didn’t know what to do. 2. The year the cats got piss pounded in Missoula when Desin was our QB, my brother and I were bar hopping after the game wearing our bobcat stuff and we got jumped by 5 college kids right by the courthouse and the only reason we didn’t get beat up was the fact that two bystanders across the street saw it happening and came over and made it a fair fight. Best part about that was the griz fan that started the jump got knocked out cold on the sidewalk, will never forget that. 3. What about the griz players specifically Gratton and Reynolds writing FTC on their tape during the game? Or when the griz team huddles up before kick off and chants FTC while jumping around? 4. What about Babby Bobby taking his nephews hat off his head at a family reunion and pissing on it in front of him and his family. If you don’t think that one is true ask John Hauck, he works for Eide Bailly and lives in Billings. John is Bobby’s cousin.

It goes both ways folks and to think other ways is ridiculous.

You must get assaulted by the wind a fair amount over on that side of the divide, if you consider that assault. lol. Tasteless and uncalled for? Absolutely! Assault? Who are you effing kidding.

As far as players writing FTC on their tape. Seems that writing it on there where opposing players can see it on the field is a far cry from having embroidered hats for every player not playing to wear on the sideline like your last trip to Washington Grizzly. And as far as chanting it, once again players on the field doing it during the game is a lot different than your stupid esggcg chant at every public event in the state.

Finally, Many people have told that story about Bobby, including himself. Family is a little bit different than random strangers in a public setting.

It certainly goes both ways, but your examples are weak and much more apples to oranges.

Anyone remember the feces allegedly thrown by griz fans on to cat players coming out of tunnel a couple years ?Let’s keep that to a minimum. Agree?

Wasn’t alleged, happened 2018 sadly. Know a few player parents who talked about the kids having to deal with it.

I work with a guy who played for the Cats in 2018. I literally just walked across the hall and asked him about this alleged incident. He said he never had ANYTHING thrown on him at WA-Griz, much less human feces. Now don't you think a player on the team would have heard about his teammates getting shit thrown on them???

You literally made an excuse for all my examples, which fits perfectly into my first few words, narcissism and hypocrisy at its finest. Rules for thee but not for me, the lefty snowflake credo.

One of them was smoking what looked like a marijuana cigarette. Anyway, they chased me into a dead-end alley, held me down, and one of them farted on my face repeatedly. Then, when I was able to regain my footing, they broke into a dance. It looked something like this:

They then ran off saying I "got served".
Anthem/Blue Cross covered my hospital bills.

Always 3 stories I suppose. We will never know outside of the players we’ve talked to. Who you’d be surprised while all being on the field, hear and see different things in Zootown. But what I do know is I wouldn’t put it past the Missoula faithful.

This goes beyond sports. Civility in our society is on a downward trajectory. You have a US Senator challenging a witness in a hearing to a fist fight, a US Representative body-checking another Representative in a congressional hallway, and politicians consistently acting like 4th graders. It's all very sad. And, I won't even get into the crap that happens on social media (eGriz included).

My intent isn’t to bash Cat fans with this thread because we know very well that we have fellow Griz fans who act the same way. I haven’t always role modeled or portrayed the Griz fan base the best.

My question for this group is what can WE do to attempt to change this toxic narrative? I’d challenge that some reflection and fan to fam accountability is warranted.

100% GrisMusician, agree 100%. I listened to Denarius McGee's interview with Colter this week & he referenced walking out of the tunnel at WaGriz and having Griz fans pelt the Cats with batteries. His response? He beat the Griz and after the game showed who he is - he signed autographs for kids on the field. Classy. Listen to Tommy's interview after the wipeout last year. Classy. Vigen's too classy to consider being an ass hat. He praised the Griz team and coaches & it wasn't patronizing, he meant it. This isn't a new thing, and it's not one sided. What it is, is toxic. The very last time the game was in Wa Griz feces was thrown on the Cat team. Cheering 'eat shit Grizzlies, go Cats go' is a far cry from throwing feces. Bobby's toned it down. Follow your leader folks & call it out if you see it.

So scatsrback said it was 2018 and heard from multiple players, then bear spray said it was 2021. I'm going out on a limb and saying it's total BS. I can assure you if it happened one time, it sure as hell would not have happened again.
