What happened to the berserker?

On the sidelines; most likely would have been in if the Griz scored quickly with a hook-up between Smithwick-Hann and his receiver instead of throwing behind him. As it was, Kirschner showed pretty decent promise, just in case. A lot of time eaten off the clock with the rushing attack being successful. Griz took a knee instead of rubbing it in.

With the off the field issues and a first year coach who is trying to instill some discipline and maturity in the players I commend the coaching staff for that decision. Not that Pflu wouldn't have called for the same thing, but just the same, I'm glad they didn't run another play, if for no other reason than the "optics".

Remember, somebody explained a week or so ago that Kemp wouldn't play for, I think, four weeks because of lacking a credit that a compliance person should have caught, but didn't. (In a quick search, I can't find the thread.) It's an NCAA action, not something done by UM or the team itself.

I have never seen the NCAA rule to which you are refering to. I do know that I heard Matt Barkley, the USC quarterback, told Dan Patrick on his morning talk show about a week ago, when asked by Dan how many classes he was going to, Matt replied only one, the one he needed to graduate, some sort of enginering computer course. Don't believe one course has ever been worth more than 8 or 9 credits. Why would a high profile player like Barkley be able to play with only taking 3 or 5 credits and Kemp not able to?

The class Barkley is taking is some sort of social media class. Didn't sound overly demanding to me. I think he get's away with it because he has no intention of being eligible next semester.

I've spend a lot of time around the university and have been an adviser to a campus organization for about 25 years. Happily, I've encountered virtually no one like Weezy. I know such idiots exist, but I've not had to deal with them.
