...showing up..wouldn't miss it...
...and just got one question...
...will the beer be served...
...in the auxiliary gym...

... :beer2: ...

Not quite like the days when they opened the doors 2 hours before tipoff for the men and just before the Cub/Little Pussy preliminary game. "Zoo" filled within minutes and the entire place was virtually full by half of the prelim (still 90 minutes before the varsity game!!). Those "Zoo" seats were prized possessions!

Looking forward to the games tomorrow. Griz men should win and keep the Cats....."awful"ly quiet....

I'm pumped! Can't wait for the Griz to lay wood on the sCats tomorrow! Wish I could be there, but I can't get out of Belgrade and my kids' activities!

Anyway, how many years has it been since the cats won vs. the Griz? I was thinking it has been five years!? That sound right?

I can't make the game myself, but I'll be tailgating and cheering my a$$ off watching from home. To those that are lucky enough to be at the game yell your butts off! GO GRIZ & FTC!!!!

By the way (I can't find it online) how many games in a row have the Griz beat the scats? Any help is appreciated. GO GRIZ!!!!

Cats have lost 8 (eight) in a row.

Cats last win over the Griz... Feb. 2010.

Cats still lead the all-time series 147 to 142.

Go Griz!

blame the cats for the deafening silence. this isn't a rivalry right now, it's assault and battery. it's not a college basketball game, it's a mission of mercy. how can you hate on a 90-pound weakling?

but i part company with my friends here when it comes to the cats. i loved montana from the time i moved there as a kid. montanans were hearty, open, welcoming and non-judgmental, compared to the place i came from, where religious persecution took on a form of child abuse. in montana, i never thought angels lived west of the divide, and satan to the east. my best genius friends from high school wound up in bozeman, so i've always known at their core the cats had brains and several good specimans of humanity. any school with "montana" on its uniform was okay with me, and so to this day i root for the cats any time they play anybody but the griz. a rising montana tide lifts all boats, and montana needs all the national publicity it can get. i'm delighted their football program is on the rise, and it won't be too long before their new coach gets this program back to true rivalry status. then it'll be noisy again.

meantime, i'll reserve my hatred for the teams whose uniforms read "utah", "byu" and "utah state." that's some real evil right there, folks.

Let me be the first anyway:

Poooooooooooooooor Bobcats!

Thank you. I'd say the same thing if the tables were turned. But really, I don't think the Cats have a chance to win another game until next season.

UM has been dominating the Cat's. Not only have the Griz have won 8 in a row, but they have won 16 out of the last 20!

Good post Citay. My wife is from California and loves to go back and enjoy a couple of warm days and see her family, but she is a Montana girl now. She is hispanic and came to Montana in 1993 worried about how she would be received. She stated that Montana people are the most welcoming, friendly people she has met and loves being able to run or take a walk any time of the day. At her home town, our exercise schedule gets halted because we can't do anything outside after 6. Get inside and lock the door.

All too true after this weekend.
