I don’t know about you, but I think it’s a match made in heaven.

Note the twinkle in their eyes. You must admit with this pairing there does appear to be a certain chemistry there. It is just a certain something... almost makes me want to sing "Sunshine on my shoulder makes me happy..." Wow, sorry man. Those pesky flash backs.

P.S. To those who have dismissed various coaches because they "don't run a Pflu style offense", maybe you haven't heard, Pflu's not the coach at UM anymore.

Pflu might not be the coach anymore but who is into repeating 2010? Those games (especially the early ones) were difficult to watch.

We may not have a choice. To demand that a coach runs Pflu's offensec cuts the universe of available quality coaches down quite a bit. Even within the spread options, I think there would be some adjustments and evn probably some with our inerim coaching staff. It may be a bumpy road at times.

Well, I think it's a pretty important consideration, considering the upheaval in 2010, converting from the pro-style to the spread/option. Do we want to turn around & reverse that? Again? I really don't care which style, as the Griz won under Hauck & started winning under Pflu. It was the converting that was the problem. Do we want to revisit that, again?

Pflu's system has proven to be a winning system, so I say we get a HC who has that same philosophy. I know there are a lot of shades of the spread formation. It could well be a new HC could come in with a different interpretation of the spread than Pflu's. Yes, the field could well be winnowed by requiring a HC with the spread philosophy.

BTW, who, w/o a HC & AD, now, decides a question like this? Even w/ the hiring of Pflu w/ his different philosophy from Hauck's. Who made that decision that caused so much turmoil in the 2010 season? Anybody know or have some speculation?

Forced to agree with D2, what is this world coming to.

We need to keep in mind this team is built for a spread attack. A dramatic system change would wreck the progress of this squad for years.

WHY ARE WE NOT TALKING MORE ABOUT THIS MAN!?!?!?

He is a former Grizzly QB.
He's coached at all levels.
He should be on the short list.

I know coach Andrus and he would be fantastic for the Griz. He did leave Rocky after only one season for greener pastures...although it was for the NFL and with his childhood friend Jeff Fisher. He ran a run and shoot type offense there with shotgun and throw all over the place. I would be for Andrus or the Sioux Falls coach at this point. I think we are smoking something if we think any of those names on that "list" would consider the Griz.

We do not need a good football coach. We will be looking for a CLEAN and MEAN church going policeman.

The new coach will be nothing more than a sourthern baptist/morman that attends mass on sundays!

Yeah you can forget about a good coach that brings excitement and fans to games. Instead look for a boring coach that runs up the middle three downs and punts. Fans attending games will drop to 17,000 per game and then down around 12,000. But damn we will be clean.

No more beer will be allowed on U property, I can't wait!

Well as Brent has said it looks like our interim coach looks to coach the season. My question is once we have a new AD we can start this season looking for a coach. I mean we can target a current coach to how interest. I think all we have to do is at that schools AD if we ca speak to him correct. I say we target a coach mis season to start the process. I guess that could hurt us as well should say this targeted coach has totally different offensive system. So maybe we go after Nigel Burton!!!! Also Where is Nick Holtz these days? He is a hard nose guy..
