Aug. 31 is my first U of M game!

He found eGriz, eGriz was not lookin' for him. He writes his lengthy intro to explain himself, then another four posts on his travel exploits. Glad he had a good time with some of you, I wouldn't have expected anything less.

Then, he gets on his horse and skedaddles out of Dodge like a wanted man, and gets to Denver, a 900 mile drive. In my prime, I needed to stop about every two hours(about 150 miles or so)to stretch, get something to eat/drink, gas up, and tinkle. That's about six stops on a trip this long.

Maybe he's Superman or has the bladder of a Fire Truck, but he could take 5-10 min of his precious time to thank his gracious hosts and expound on his experiences in Missoula. He has acted very entitled, IMO. Of course, he is probably playing the same game in his 'Travels with Charley' exploits for each of his planned stops.

Maybe he's the reincarnation of John Steinbeck.
You obviously didn't talk to him while he was here.

So what's the deal? Did you enjoy the experience or not?
Do you really expect a response? Today is only Thursday, only four and a half days since they shut off the lights at WGS. He's obviously quite busy at the moment. I'm beginning to suspect he's an even bigger fraud than I originally thought. Maybe he's just a homeless bum with a cel phone. For those of you who have seen him, check out the busy street corners, wherever you live, you might just see him holding up a cardboard sign.🥸

Not sure if your really a fool or just acting foolish…

Post-Game Review

There's a certain amount of awesomeness to the critical posts on here. I really mean that! Very creative! I'll be sure to provide a bladder scan to offset the concerns of my driving distance and stop-to-pee worries from Calgary to (now) Omaha. Also my scamming skills need a lot of improvement... I only netted food, booze, and good times from my original post.
🤣

Most importantly, Grizz fans surely know that they need no validation from me that they have one of the finest gameday and in-stadium experiences in all of CFB (or the ~70 I've been to). But that they DO possess!

Tailgating was extremely fun and the few spots I visited were all friendly and generous. A nice variety of delicious and unique foods and drinks.

The setting? Magnificent. Some say the best is Provo. Others say Boulder. I'm not going to choose one... but Missoula is absolutely in the conversation. I partly wish I was watching the game from atop The M just to see what that perspective gives.

The stadium? Adequate for sure. Nice overall. Great sightlines and a good crowd. Seeing the mountain in the background really is spectacular. I sat opposite the band so I heard more piped in music than UM Band... I prefer the band. Huge and clear jumbo-tron and scoreboard.

Crowd noise? I was told how loud it would be. On and on I was told to prepare for north endzone. I even saw children
with ear protection.... c'mon! Well, holy smokes, Grizz fans bring it! WOW!! Was it as loud as Florida, Auburn and LSU? Objectively, no. Was it as loud or louder per-fan-yelling-on-third-down at UF-LSU-Auburn? Probably YES!

Did I have a great time? Absolutely. Will I return? Undoubtedly yes.. possibly August/early-September 2025 coinciding with a longer trip to Glacier NP.

I have more to tell, more on the tailgates and the nice folks I sat with (all post on here).

Geaux Griz!

You should come back for a big playoff game if you want to see loud. I imagine it was at least 50% louder last year with NDSU. The place was levitating. Or watch the App State highlights when Armonte Edwards came to town. September games are like ice cream socials relatively speaking.
