Attendance

I see the official attendance for last weekend's game was an impressive 6,927.

Out of curiosity, what is the attendance over/under for this weekend's game when season tickets don't count and students have to pay $4 to get in?

Back to 3500.

You think that many when EVERYONE has to shell out cash at the door, and A,B,and C bball tournaments are going on?

3500 would be highly impressive.

This sounds like an opportunity for the GRIZ to market the program all over the state. I am not sure what the rules are, but I would do everything possible within the rules to get every HS player in the state there for the NAU game. Give the tickets away, work out a deal with all the High Schools in the tournaments and from the surrounding area. Have someone with university make arrangements to meet the players, tour the facilities, etc. Basically go all out to get some attention and maybe even get the younger players inspire to become GRIZ, ALA what our program has become. Most every boy that plays football now wants to be a GRIZ, or in some cases a Cat.

Market this game as rules allow, and put this program in the forefront of Montana HS basketball. Maybe even have the coaches have a community forum to tell these kids what it takes to be a GRIZ and challenge them to work toward becoming one.

I hope the game draws at least 5,000 somehow. I will be cheering as loud as anyone. Too bad it will be 950 miles away.

That's the thing...no giveaways for playoff games. No corporate tickets, no student tickets, can't give tickets to high school kids/coaches. EVERYONE is required to pay at the door. Pepsi in Bozeman stepped up to purchase 200 tickets for MSU students, but after that, they will all have to pay $5.

This could be a really lean crowd for both games.

Could be a fiasco. Missoulian was supposed to put an advertisement for tickets like three days ago and didn't. I picked up my ticket today. According to person behind ticket window, traffic has been very slow. I figure many season ticket holders don't realize that they have to get their ticket by 4:30pm today or they will be released to anybody.

Unless they extend the deadline for season ticket holders, there are going to be a lot of excellent tickets for non-season ticket holders.

Attendance may be below 3,000 for this weeks game.

I am guessing that it will be 2500 or less. It would have been much more if we could have played a more exciting brand of basketball last Saturday but when you go for minutes on end without scoring you can find a lot of more exciting things to do on a Saturday.

Make that two less tickets from a season ticket holder. Finishing fourth ,in the not so good Big Sky, with this team is just not good enough. Are we going to sitting here ten years from now ,middle of the pack with Tinks? Great guy just not head coaching material.
