Attendance Question

I was thinking about this this morning and I am pretty sure I know the answer. Have the Men's BB team ever sold out a game yet? Reason I wonder is I was thinking about Griz/Cat game and just found it rediculous that that game hasn't sold out since the renovation. Reason I am pretty sure it hasn't happened is because, if I am thinking properly, the Women's team has had the biggest crowd there for a game when they host La. tech, right? Either way, how the hell can a Griz/Cat game not sell out when all they need is 7k or so and it's not even hard to get a 24k sellout or thereabouts for football?

I think there have been 1 or 2 sellouts since the remodel.

The answer is NO, and the number needed is about 7500. It is pretty sad the cat/Griz is not a sellout in Bozone either. There was a day you had to stand in line for those tickets. I predict attendance in Men's basketball will go up again this season. Tinks will have a much better and more entertaining team on the floor.

You are correct. 7,413 fans in attendance for the La Tech game.

The men's team never had any game over 7,400 fans, but did have a couple over 7,300 fans in attendance . 7,332 fans were at the Griz vs Sac State game on 02/01/2003 for Monte celebration (Monte won Mascot of the year).
And, on 02/11/2006, Griz BB team had 7,311 fans for a Griz-Cat game.

On the flip-side, isn't it great that a women's team can have that kind of draw? Gotta be happy with that kind of draw for women's sports. Makes you think we could somehow draw some more national players. Everyone wants to play for a crowd. Well, the lady griz have a good one night in, night out.
