Looks like another very solid semester for Grizzly athletics overall.

Football posted a 2.82 term GPA / 2.89 cumulative GPA and had just 2 marked for "probation"

Athletics overall had an average GPA of 3.06 and a cumulative GPA of 3.08. Last semester if I remember correctly a few athletic programs had some real issues, might've been men's bball and track and field - both have rebounded really well. Really there's no one program that had a "bad" term GPA and of 305 total student athletes only 5 are on academic probation.

Balancing practice, studies, and life is a daunting task. Congrats to any Student Athlete that keep up. :thumb:

Heck yeah. I wasn't a athlete and it was still a ton of hard work to get a 3.0 Tremendous respect for athletes. This is what most kids leaving high school for college don't get. In high school they are mostly sheltered. College they not only have school to worry about but balancing all the problems that come with being an adult as well. Why many don't make it. Athletes have even more on the plate and it takes tremendous discipline to accomplish.

Well done!

Just the announcement of a new academic center, and grades go up. Maybe UM should announce new weight and locker rooms, and see if strength goes up (and staph goes down).
