I am not sure there is anything here that has not been apparent and we did not need any further info until maybe Thurs.

When this is done I assume that there will be no silly mention of a short list because it is obvious the replacement decision had already taken place.

Griz MVP will make Griz coach look very sharp for next two years.
 
well the penny is a good sign! Papa bear used to search all over campus to find a penny before games. Sometimes he even had the office staff out looking!
 
My first option would be to hire Shannon Cate-Schweyen as the next HC of the men's Griz BB team.

That way the experience gained would aid in the possible taking over as HC of the LG, whenever that may occur.


Only question though; would she then be the first female HC of a men's NCAA BB program?

Actually I'am not kidding. Keep the coaches that are here as of
now, if all are in agreement to go along with such a situation; next ask the players if they're aboard on this innovative notion, so to speak; fill Huses' old position and run with it. They had a woman HC of a professional mens' BB team, if I remember correctly, just last year. Why not in the NCAA's. You've got co-ed dorms too, right?
 
Granted, the chance of such ever happening would be like 1/10th of one percent probability; but, then again, is such a notion bewildering maybe over the next fifty years of such a possibility? Montana had a Jeannette Rankin too didn't they? O.K. maybe not the best similarity but interesting none the less.
 
Good points......Ashley McElhiney was a coach for a team out of Nashville I believe but that turned into a mess. I believe there was an assistant mens coach in the NCAA ten years ago who was a woman. All I know is do whatever it takes to win.

As much as I think of Shannon, no way! I would rather have her take Burns seat in the Senate, and I think it would be a landslide

I disagree. I don't think that any good BBall recruit with multiple options would come all the way out to Montana to play for some chick. Not trying to sound sexist or anything, I just don't think it would work. An extremely charismatic 7 footer NBA vet who is the all time leading scorer of his team makes a great recruiter. Some "experimental" woman HC would be a joke.
