I was talking to the guy sitting next to me on a plane recently when the conversation turned to my line of work. He pointed out what he believed were inefficiencies in my industry and offered his suggestions on how to do my job better. What he didn't know was what he was talking about had literally absolutely nothing to do with my job. Rather than make his head explode by explaining how my job actually worked I chose to just smile and nod. I would bet most people on here have a similar story.
