Wow, as you said, that's NUTS. Gotta make a trip out there (note to self: bring extra memory chip for the camera). Per google map, it's about 3 hours from Missoula, right?

Quick question, is that slow running back that y'all have (yeah, the one that once he breaks the line of scrimmage we couldn't catch) back? He was a stud in the game last year. A joy to watch, except he kept us nervous everytime he touched the ball.

Dan Moore was a senior. A few games after the App one he got a high ankle sprain and sat the rest of the year. Truly a bummer. He's working out for his shot at the NFL now.

The Griz will have a stable of three solid running backs for the App game next year. Two were on the team last year (Canada, Counts) and the other is a transfer from Marshall. Until we have a better sense of who our starter is going to be, it's fair to say the Griz will rely, and in my opinion do well with our returning O-line, on the run.

Sounds as if the downtown area will have a grand choice of beer sipping time on Friday night. Do y'all plan to have a Greet and Bar Hop for us eastern mountain folks? Would enjoy a chance to meet some more folks, share war stories, cry over the loss on our last trip, and just have a good ole time sharing stories about our storied two programs. We could call it the MASU (pronounced Ma Sue) Bar Crawl!

All App St. fans are welcome at our tailgate on game day. Lots of App St. fans were there on your last visit. Lots of beer, fireball and good BSing. Looking forward to meeting more of you folks.
This is true....he lets anyone party there..........even me.

I wish........Most jacked guy to ever put on a Griz uniform.
Probably my favorite player of all time.

Got plane tickets, Charlotte to Boseman on Aug 28 getting in 12:33. Got a place within waking distance to downtown Missoula. Now, need to find a fishing guide for Thursday or Friday. Any suggestion?

One of my friends is from Boone and lives in MT now so I'm bringing him with me to the game. The more App State fans the better...should be a great game

I'm flying from Charlotte to Butte on August 28th. Arriving around 12:30. I've talked to another couple fans coming on the same flight. Got a little "mother in law" apartment that a nice couple rents within walking distance of the stadium. Planning to go to Glacier and do some hiking per several or your suggestions. I can't wait!!!! I would also like to do a little fishing but I am pretty much a novice and not sure it would be smart to spend alot on a seasoned guide. I look forward to trying the bars and restaurants that have been posted on this thread. This is why I love college football. Two passionate fan bases, great schools and solid squads that want to beat each others brains out at the appointed hour but that have respect for each other and appreciate and actually enjoy the hard - core loyalty that the other school brings. Sure wish our friends in Statesboro could get it. :D

PS - I had that picture of Dan Moore jumping one of our players on the door of my office for a couple of weeks following our game last year. That man brought it every play.

So, is it 100% certain the game will be played on Saturday August 31? Lotsa chatter (egriz and otherwise) that it could be moved to Thursday August 29.

It would, which is why I haven't completed my travel plans.
