Kettlehouse........sounds like my kinda place. Will hit it up while there. Need to find one great Western Steakhouse while out there, or a dinner that we can't get back here in the Carolina's.
I think you have a great food "tradition" in both, North and South Carolina..but for a unique Montana thing, I understand there is a pasty shop in Missoula rivaling those in Butte...I can't make it to Montana without having a Butte style pasty or pork chop san (very similar to those around Charleston)...

Its called Lisa's Pasties, a lil ma n pa shop located by the mall. Great food! I eat lunch there all the time.

The Kettlehouse, Bayern, Tamarack, & Big Sky breweries all have excellent brews. The Kettlehouse is close to campus - right off the Higgins street bridge. On the other side of the river between the Orange street & Higgins street bridges is Tamarack. The other two may be a bit out of your way, but are worth checking out.

I suspect it's a reference to Testy Fest.

Thanks AWF and GC420. I worked with a company based in New Orleans a while back, so the bar is set pretty high but I'll give botha try the next time I'm in the Zoo.

Sounds as if the downtown area will have a grand choice of beer sipping time on Friday night. Do y'all plan to have a Greet and Bar Hop for us eastern mountain folks? Would enjoy a chance to meet some more folks, share war stories, cry over the loss on our last trip, and just have a good ole time sharing stories about our storied two programs. We could call it the MASU (pronounced Ma Sue) Bar Crawl!

Zydeco is good but you can't beat the atmosphere at the DInosaur Cafe at Charlie B's, particulalrly if you want a little uisce', (irish gaelic for whiskey for you southern boys), with your cajun.

The entire downtown will be a big greet and bar hop, rather than a localized event. Put on your App State gear and stop in at Red's, the Missoula Club, the Iron Horse, the Rhino, the Old Post, the James Bar, etc. etc. etc., and free beer will flow your direction courtesy of Griz fans.

Man, all this talk about the restaurants and bars in Missoula really makes me miss it! Time for a road trip! :thumb:
Tons of good food, drink and fun to be had.

All App St. fans are welcome at our tailgate on game day. Lots of App St. fans were there on your last visit. Lots of beer, fireball and good BSing. Looking forward to meeting more of you folks.
