Assistant coaching changes

Just curious to others thoughts on if hauck will change some of the position coaches/coordinators I dont think he got every one he wanted last year when he put his staff together.

I suppose one of them could be offered a higher paying or more desirable job as well. Not Bobby making a change but still another way a change could be made. Not looking for one as I dont think a forced change is warranted at this point.

Based on performance, no reason to change anyone. It would be great to keep everyone together for continuity - where have I heard that before?

But there are umpteen coaching positions open @ the moment, which means there are like 11X umpteen position coach spots open as well.

Can they find a coach that can game plan for the 2nd half of games?

Do you think it was a lack of game planning for/in 2d half that was the primary cause of the inability to win games when leading in the 4th quarter? Just asking. I don't know.

I was not asked - but I will weigh in. NO! Turnovers were a bigger factor than adjustments. The coaches can't hold onto the damn ball for players

No damn changes! We have had enough starting over. Get the right players in and let's get back to winning!

No, just being a wise ass. I actually think depth was a big issue. Griz just flat worn down I think. I honestly don't know how to explain the 2nd half collapses.

For the same reason all leaders tend to. You don’t throw your people under the bus. Not if you want them to be your people for long. The kids that screwed up know they screwed up and they’ll get coached up. How would calling them out to everyone in a press conference been in any way a positive coaching move?

I totally agree, beginning of season Bobby said we had two big issues, O Line and DEPTH. Coaching was good, we were ahead in every game at the start of the 4th quarter and then guys ran out of gas. I can remember when Bobby was here before we played so many guys on defense throughout the season, 4th quarter other teams ran out of gas. That's (along with Turnovers) is what happened this year.

Oh I agree 100%. I was mostly being a wise ass. I notice he says that every time cus I’m expecting it. I hate it when coaches call out players failures to the public. It’s the same reason I take full responsibility for whatever goes wrong on my packaging line if it’s a personal issue. It’s my job to make sure they got what they need to do their job correctly.

I think it’s a bit of all 3, but would say depth, turnovers, gameplanning in that order. Fatigue probably was what led to a few of those, hence that order.

"The buck stops here."

I could see us losing our Strength Coach if Stitt gets hired on at Texas State. Coach Nicholson is from Texas and played for Houston. Could make sense.
