Ash to Idaho?

Would this really be a step up for Ash? I would think Pflugrad would be a good fit there.

I agree with FTC. Robin would fit in well at Idaho and it would be good for them in my opinion. There is also a lot of chatter about Hawkins going to Cal Davis.

I really doubt Ash will go to idaho, although if they come up with the cash who knows. I think the home town boy Paul Wulff would be the guy for UCD to go after.

Hardly fair to compare almost any other IA to Idaho.

 Good observation. It is the black hole of D-1A football, but money talks. Akey didn't even have to move to "make the move." I really don't see Ash leaving, after all, he was a Drake for how long?

I doubt he goes as well. But place 3 times their current salary in front of anyone and they're likely to do all sorts of things.

As a Griz fan I like Ash. I don't see him leaving but you never know. How old is he anyway?
Gotta be in the lower 60's

Mony is a factor for everybody but I don't think UI has an outrageous amount to offer, and the outlook isnt as good there either, when he came to MSU one of the things he mentioned was a chance for Championship football and the support that the school got from the people around the state.

Having heard him speak several times and had individule conversations he does not strike me as a man who bases his goals on money

Yeah he just wants trophies and world peace.

Curiously, you Griz fans are certainly far more on top of this than me, but I heard Bobby Petrino has been contacting Montana about coaching. Has that been discussed already? I can't say I know this with 100% certainty, but my source knows this stuff well.

This thread is beginning to sound alot like Harry Fritz's old lecture on "What Drove Merriweather Lewis Crazy" Let's see how many of you remember what that was?

i had always thought harry fritz was a pretty cool guy, until i interacted with him at the gym, of all places. what a prima donna - and at the flippin' old men's gym.

This.

Plus Ash has shown a knack for turning around a losing program. Not every coach can do that. :ugeek:

Clean ash will be a good win for us until he gets over the CHOKE....

He will be doomed by the Choke until he kicks over!

Footballscoop.com reports that Idaho is talking to Rob Ash and Cal Poly's Tim Walsh amongst others about their head coaching position...

It would be about the only hope you have for the years to come

I for one hope Ash never leaves the scats....when Delaney retires and we get a good coach, ney...even an average coach, he's proven that he isn't that difficult to beat. As long as he is there, scats will never get where they want to get.

just got from downtown, it's fucking packed and I'm already drunk. Had to leave early to save up for the morn....this is going to be awesome, perhaps better than last year.

Hmmm...aside from his football acumen, imagine what a role model he could be for the young men. :yikes:
