O'Day -- thinks LK a serious contender for ASU job ... says all 3 UM assistant hoops coaches (men) have been contacted re jobs ... is meeting with Peter Fields this AM (1Apr06) in Indianapolis.

Tinkle -- doesn't think anything is imminent with LK.

UM Associate AD Jean Gee said the university would be more than willing to match another offer? That's news to me!

I didn't feel this deserved a new thread but this article seems to indicate that Larry is the front runner for the ASU job.

I am very happy for LK but am hoping he values loyalty more than $$'s and stays gome.

I wonder if the paper got this quote correct?? If so, I'd say that's a very good thing:

According to Gee, the University would not stand in the way of Krystkowiak leaving for another coaching position, but would "do everything possible to keep Larry" and would be more than willing to match another offer.

Just Announced on Final Four Pre-game show - North Carolina State Coach Herb Sendek was offered the Arizona State University head basketball coach position!!!

Had to be misquoted, there is not a chance in hell UM will matc because they cannot. Hell, they still haven't gotten past 1 year contracts.
