Articles about MSU in Missoulian

The Missoulian doesn't have a sports editor anymore. The sports editor for all of Lee newspapers in Montana is Jeff Welsh, who lives in Belgrade and was formerly the Bobcat beat writer for the Chonicle. Rachac is the senior sports writer for Lee Montana and they moved him to Bozeman to cover the Cats. Think of the Missoulian as a franchise restaurant - they can add a couple local favorites to the menu but mostly they have to serve what HQ sells - and HQ is in Bozeman.

All of the TV stations in Montana are the same thing. And getting worse. Out of staters see Bozeman as the hot thing in Montana so that's where the focus is.

Because it's the hometown university ... there shouldn't need to be any other reason. And, how many Bobcat fans read the Missoulian?

Fans of both schools read the sports pages of the Lee Enterprise papers in this state: the Billings Gazette, Helena Independent Record, the Montana Standard, the Missoulian and I believe the Livingstoned Enterprise is also Lee paper. The Gazette covers a great deal of Wyoming Cowboy sports because most folks in Wyoming don't realize the Casper paper is also a Lee paper and they prefer to shop in Montana because they used to be able to avoid their state sales tax.

The Bozeangeles people tend to read the Bozo Comical so they can keep up with what is going on in Big Sky, Yellowstone, Ennis or with the Belgrade Panthers or Manhattan Tigers. As they are all transplants in Bozo, they don't care much for MSU and the ones who have kids in that cluster f*** they call a high school send their kids someplace else to go to college. The transplants hate MSU.

You are way off base. The Chronicle sports pages today included numerous articles on the Cats opening practice. Also, there is a very large enrollment at MSU of Bozeman High students. There were also many people out watching football practice today at MSU. In addition, on a few plays today, the three linebackers playing together were all Bozeman High grads (Grant Collins, Balue Chapman and Jory Choate. I dont know where you get that transplants hate MSU. I have lived in Bozeman many years and never met a transplant that said they hated MSU. People in Bozeman in general are pretty excited about the good things happening at MSU.

Nope. Bozeangeles sucks. Want a decent meal and not have to go clear to Ennis or Big Sky after a Cat game? You have to go to Belgrade, Manhattan, Logan for crying out loud!, Willow Creek or even Ringling! Heck, even Emigrant up the Paradise has better food.

In fact, Timothy made a conscious choice: brew that fine brew called Cold Smoke in Bozeangeles or go to Sanfranzoola. It's a no brainer and he did the right thing by setting up shop with the Kettlehouse decision and makes it in Sanfrazoola.

Those transplants that whine about their noise shed getting obstructed has the ROTC cannon limited to charge one so as to not disturb them. They complain about their light shed being disturbed by the lights of the stadium so there's usually only one night game a year. A few even complain if there is a concert in the stadium. Bozeangeles sucks but MSU has a nice campus but fortunately Belgrade International Airport helps me avoid that bunch and I can take Jackrabbit Lane or I-90 west and stay in Butte, Big Sky, etc.

You must be smoking too much of that weed. What planet are you from? Player Rep is right on about you. Why do you live in Bozeman if you think it is so bad. There is a reason why so many people are moving here. Like people never complain about anything in Missoula lol.

Didn't some right wing conglomerate called the Sinclair Group buy Lee Newspapers last year?

Nope. Sinclair bought a company that had a bunch of tv stations, including 3 in MT and 1 in Missoula.

Lee Enterprises continues to be publicly traded. Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway has a chunk of stock and owns some of Lee's debt.

I was raised in the Valley. Lived in Belgrade and Manhattan. After my parents left Nashua-Frazer (had land in both towns on the Assiniboine part of Fort Peck Reservation as they were Assiniboine) we wound up in the Gallatin. They hated Bozo so much we'd go to Butte, Billings or Helena for back to school shopping. I have my favorite parts of Montana. Bozeangeles is not part of it though. And I could care less about "rep." I blocked his nonsense.

He doesn't like to have all of his mistakes and misinformation corrected. This works out great. I can comment and correct, and the board doesn't have to put up with his backtalk.
