Article -- Griz Clean up in Transfer Portal with Eight New Additions

I would say based on any and all measurable metrics in today's day n age of college football, we've EXCELLED at roster building and portal / transfer management. We've had such a minimal amount of portal entries over the past few years, and have added significant, strong players. Good stuff 💪💪

As much as I liked having the best punter in the FCS twice in a row, the only one that really kills me is Toure. I still look back and wonder how great his senior season would have been, and what a difference it would have made for the program. Cam having him when Sammy went down. Brown having both as a security blanket when he covered for Cam. All of that would have changed the season. Then Toure being featured here may actually have gotten him drafted higher in the NFL, which would have meant coaches and the GM were more invested in his success.

That one still makes me sad that we missed out on one more year of Toure. Wish him all the best in the NFL, of course.

But if that is my only portal heartbreak, and we have had all of these starters flow in as the program grows, well, I am just happy as a clam.

Toure his senior year would have been incredible... and he was staying, until covid ! That was more of a covid casualty than anything. But he's about the only major loss.

I think the OL transfer Johnson will be ok but he is not really proven. He will work I am sure .As far DT he played at Monmouth ,he may work but he's not even close to Gubner. Where is the kicker? He was one of the best pickups I saw listed.

 So glad you know SOOO much more than OUR coaches, AND the other FBS and FCS coaches who wanted these guys.

Right!? A tremendous balance of our recruited freshman and adding great talent in needed spots.

Oldngrizzly..."not even close to Gubner"...just curious, could you please identify the defensive linemen in the portal who were close? I'll wait.

Not proven. True. Neither were Walker, MayGinnes and Forbes. That’s why they transfer…

QB could be Ok ? Other than that nothing special here.

Totally. No reason to be excited about eight (8) transfers with DI CFB experience.

Right. And the CB from Utah is very talented. He’s just sitting behind 3 NFL guys and wants to play now. I love that addition.

Rich coming from you. You display the common sense of a tomato with your posts.

Were is Johan Silver 5' 11" 185 (Kent State) kicker???

Surely one of you geniuses on this site can answer that?

I’m sure with that positive encouragement the geniuses on this site will be bending over backwards to answer your question for you.

Silver on his Instagram story was kicking field goals in Washington Grizzly stadium yesterday so he is on Missoula

Oldfuckinggrizzly appreciates your efforts. He doesn’t know how to finagle through these interweb thingies.
