Around the FCS -- First Upset

Well, what goes around, comes around, I guess. Last year Liberty lost in OT to Coastal because of a blocked FG. Just now, Liberty blocked a Coastal FG to win at the end of regulation, 15-14. (You can see it was a real offensive barn-burner.  )

So Liberty gets the auto-bid, while I'm sure Coastal will get an at-large anyway. Somewhere, a bubble team just got bumped.

BTW, the rest of the games so far have followed form. Some good football, but not very exciting.

Oh ... and ... GO GRIZ!

Upset alert: Midway through Q4, Western Illinois (4-7) leads #18 Indiana (7-4), 27-12. Chance to possibly bump out another 4-loss team.

Also, FWIW, SUU leads NAU 10-7, midway through Q2.

Two more upsets.

Western Illinois (5-7) upset #18 Indiana State (7-5) ... giving them their 5th loss.

NC Central (7-5) upset #24 NC A&T (9-3) ... making a mess of the MEAC championship/auto-bid. Gets even more interesting since Bethune-Cookman and Flor A&M have gone into overtime.

Man! This is a tough back and forth ... glad we're also taping the Griz game.

Amazing game between Bethune-Cookman and FAMU. Both scored a TD in OT, but B-C went for a 2-point conversion right away and (just barely) got it for the win. Really gutsy call because it had just taken them 4 downs to score the TD.

Parallel melt-downs. :thumb:

The pussy-cats.

And SUU leads NAU 19-7, at Flagstaff, midway thru Q4 ... and SUU has the ball.
