College OT whomps. It artificially pads stats and causes linemen to get hurt due to the vastly decreased time between series. College OT reeks of not only softball's international tiebreaker but kickball's win by shootout.
Before you go whining about my wanting to go back to tie games, think again. As everyone knows, ties are like kissing your sister. Ugh!
What I'd like to see is for college to install NFL-style "sudden-death" OT with one caveat: the OT doesn't become "sudden-death" until each team has had one possession. Stats are not artificially padded, the bogus forced 2-point rule is eliminated, and the "normal" time between series keeps out some of the heinous OT injuries we've seen this year.

“When the league shifted to the K-ball in 1998 and moved to the 30-yard line for kickoffs the team that won the coin toss in overtime won the game 62.5% of the time and the loser of the toss won only 37.5% of the time. This statistic has held pretty consistently for the last eight or nine years.”
