Doesn't pass the eye test.

Kid just does not look like a D-1 athlete, plain and simple.

Maybe it's because of that third eyelid (nictitans) you got there, that stretches across the eyes and lubricates. Or maybe you ought to stand closer, you think; being that you're infamously reputed in being near-sighted as such. That is to say, that your eyes lack a foveal pit, an indentation in the retina which provides for focusing, especially on distant objects.

Of course, you seem to be a wolf-hybrid so you're probably even worse off besides: http://www.runningwiththewolves.org/Anatomy.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Could be the reason why you might be caught howling at the moon in broad daylight methinks.

No one is fully committed until signing day.

Obviously.

But the fact Ari is stating that he is trying to get John to join him at Montana indicates John's verbal may be more of a soft verbal or that John may be wavering.

I would suggest that you might be reading too much into a teenager's text. As your lawyer I advise that you have a couple drinks at lunch.

I am not reading anything into it, but can I still have a couple of drinks at lunch?

Judging by his highlight videos, the kid can run between the tackles and has the agility to make tacklers miss. He looks like he uses his blockers well and gets a fair amount of YAC. However, I don't see a high-end speed and he doesn't outrun the last level of tacklers. Wonder if the Griz will be implementing the Wing-T for their next year's offense.

Speed? He runs the 40 4.55-4.59. He also had a terrible knee injury. This kids career may already be over.

Some were saying the same thing about Adrian Peterson when he ruptured his ACL last year. Doctor's were saying it was the worst injury they had ever seen.

NOTE: I am NOT saying Ari Morales IS Adrian Peterson. I'm saying knee injuries can be overcome with lots of work and dedication and I think this kid has it. Plus he has motivation to come back.

Truth is, without a knee injury, this kid may be going to a fbs school. It is a gamble by the griz, if it pays off he could be a game changer. If not, then he goes on his way and we use his scholarship for someone else down the road. For someone who was so highly regarded prior to the injury, it is worth the gamble in my opinion.

Ari is actually one of the guys I am most excited about for a couple reasons.

I honestly don't think he would be coming to Montana if he hadn't been injured this year, he would be going FBS. Judging by the multitude of videos and camp reports, it looks like he spent the entire summer working his ass off at camps and combines, I bet he wasn't home more than 2 weeks of the summer.

He started as a sophomore on one of the best high school teams in the country, and was brought up to varsity as a freshman. He comes from a winning program that expects to win and is entering one that is the same way. The more stud Bellevue players the Griz have on their roster the better it is for Montana

the "4.55-4.59" is forty time that's about 2 years old (btw 4.55-4.59 is FAST, Chase Reynolds ran a 4.59, but the faster the better). Before his injury he was running mid-high 4.4s and has set himself a goal to be running in the 4.3s by the time he arrives in the fall:

@AriMorales25
Workin to get my 4.46 40 down to a 4.37 by the time i go off to school! Hard work but im about that life! Lets get there!

What I believe is Ari's biggest attribute is his character and work ethic. That work ethic combined with the gigantic chip on his shoulder due to being snubbed by everyone (except Montana) after his injury is a deadly combination for opposing teams.

The biggest question mark is his knee, and I don't blame people for being sceptical. But after seeing what other high work ethic walk-ons with chips on their shoulders have done in this program, I am excited to see what Ari brings and hope his knee doesn't get in the way of his success on the field. I bet Ari won't be a walk-on for long.
