Between the dumpster fire on this website and the Missoulian, Alpha’s antics etc we look like lunatics right now.
 
Always have been. Always will be. Wouldn't have it any other way. Passionate fan base beats apathy every day of the week.

Remember though. Message boards don't represent the entire fan base. Just the most passionate members of the base.

I’m very excited. Maybe the events that have taken place will be for the good. People will see that Bobby isn’t a monster and the players will become aware that assault in any form will not be tolerated. Maybe we will hear that Tiger Woods type “roar” back in the stadium and the community will realize economic benefit from playoff football. Yes we are a crazy fan base but it’s a good crazy.
Awareness is good but it creates hurt feelings in its infancy.
Oh my 2018 budget has a line item titled........Montana Football :thumb:

Exactly, and the relative anonymity of the web emboldens people to really let their freak flag fly...ie Alpha.

Sports can bring out the best and worst in people. Just have to keep it all in perspective. I've been a head coach in our local youth football program for six years now and sometimes the biggest challenge is dealing with irrational expectations of fans and parents and even other coaches. I even saw a fight and arrests at a little league baseball game once, which involved coaches and umpires. Talk about crazy. Hopefully we will start to see more of the best coming out of Griz Nation and less of the worse. Stay passionate my friends. GO GRIZ

We are not the craziest FCS fan base.

We are the definition of class and what other FCS schools wish to have(including the scum I have to wade through in Fargo).

I have respect for MSU and UND and their fans.

Their are crazy fan bases, we define passion and respect. When our crazy fans gets out of line we get in their face and tell them to act like Montana. Other fans tolerate or ignore out of control behavior.

The best thing to me is having lived in Fargo last 18 years is earning to be passionate with respect is to and dealt with a culture that is everything you do not want in fans. People who recognize the crap that goes on here are afraid to say anything. My favorite moments are when people seel me in Griz gear they love us because the locals in Fargo hate us so much. I just smile and when the name of the locals are mentioned I have two replies

1. Who?
2. You mean the Green Bay Packer colored people, that rubs it in as Minnesota Viking fans hate the Packers.

You do not even have to insult them just drop a subtle dig and watch them blow a gasket.
