Are We 3-0?

Or, what if the game was played on the moon? Oh! Or underwater? The Griz could've been in trouble. I think conditioning would have played a much bigger role (sorry, for the Bubfans: "roll"). There's really no way to know for sure. I guess we will have to just base the wins and losses on wins and losses.

Yep, but we deal in hypotheticals here on these message boards. So, point being - your awesome crowd being loud caused them to have false starts at bad times, therefore leading to the W for the griz. So, good job!

You and every other Cat fan will still be tapping the same tune when the Griz are 6-0. You might want to worry about your team. They have their own problems.

Totally. I think if the Bubs played USC instead of Stetson, they probably would have lost. Or, if they played Stetson but with foam cowboy hats on, they would have lost. Bubfans need to consider these things. If Bubfans would wake up and take an honest look at their program, they would realize that if either of those things happened, they would be 1-2 right now. They might even be 0-3 if they played the pissrush game on stilts. Think about that. Just dealing in hypos.

I think it would have been interesting if they had, like Stetson, sat in airplane from 10 until just after four in the morning. Then bussed to Helena, had something to eat and a meeting, turned around and bussed back to bozeman and arrived an hour before game time. Foam hats off to the Hatters, even with all that , they managed not to snap it out of the endzone a single time.

Ain't exactly Lunar Orbit, but 7,000 ft in Flagstaff is their best response to a WGS crowd hungry to see the Griz kick some ass. 8-)

lol, not quite. I've stated many times there is little to no chance the griz don't jump out to 5-0 out of the gate. I'll bet anyone $$ on that. Then that UCD game will be a pretty big challenge but I already predicted that as a 50\50 game, and I'll give you the nod on that, assuming ya find an offense. Then it gets tough, and IMO you lose to ID, Sac, and MSU.

Yes you’re 3-0 which is great to exit non conference perfect. MSU is 2-1 and took a few injuries already. But that “perfect” goes only as far as the record. Last year 3-0 for the gris looked like a ton more offense and even better defensive play and everyone knows how last year finished. These forums were riding the highs of slapping pioneer schools upside the head. Now they’re spending most their time justifying close games with Butler and D2 Ferris state.

What I see is a 3-0 that if you threw in a decent team like a top 25 FCS school or FBS, you wouldn’t be 3-0. You can sit here and shout 3-0 from the roof tops. But everyone in the media, and outside fan bases see a lack luster 3-0. No, I’m not saying the gris can’t figure it out and yes You can point to random years where a bad team played MSU, UM, or whatever team you want close. But that’s just confirmation bias and reaching. I can list just as many years where bad teams played a better team close and the better team didn’t go to the national championship. I can point out years UM crushed bad teams and didn’t go to the national championship. So picking the 1-2 seasons out of the 100 year history isn’t productive.

There’s no room for error, Ferris is D2 and won’t count in the win column for the committee. If you don’t beat your ranked opponents you could be looking at a 6 FCS win season with an even lower SOS than last year.

What will 200 yards of total offense get you against MSU, SS, UCD, Idaho? I think that’s the question reasonable fans are asking on this page. You can’t kid yourself and say “well Ferris would beat SS,UCD,WSU,MSU,Idaho”. But that’s not productive.

SS just beat FBS Stanford, Idaho beat a pretty bad Nevada none the less still FBS, WSU was closer to Utah than we thought, and MSU was a pixelated review away from beating SDSU. If a national championship is the goal. This team hasn’t produced a result that warrants that believe outside of fandom. Which in that case, cheer loud and proud.

What will a Cat loss to Griz coming into playoffs look like?

The same thing will happen to the Cats in Nov.

You might be 6-0, which is really 5-0, if you beat Davis. You win 2 more NC and PSU. 7 D1 wins on the bubble without a signature win losing 3 out of the last 5. Not a good situation. No room for error.

They need find an offense or they will easily be 4-4 in conference again, and 6-4 is curtains.

Yes, the Cats do not have an easy path either, but the way they are playing I wouldn't be the least bit concerned. Their depth takes care of a lot

I think Brooks Nuanez hit the nail on the head in one of their recent podcasts. I’m paraphrasing here, but he said that the Griz looked fairly lackluster or underwhelming if you’re looking at the team with the expectation that they should be competing for a national championship.

Sure, we are 3-0. That’s a fact. One of those wins is against a non-scholarship team and another to a d2 squad. That is also a fact. My expectation is that the Griz should be competing for national titles year in and year out, and we should always be at or near the top of the big sky conference. We haven’t been doing that for a long time now, so Griz nation is getting nervous.

Never heard of the guy you mentioned, but agree with your premise.

Ha- it’s a great bet on my end outside of UCD. Let’s see where they are in a few weeks. But I’ll bet you lose to Idaho, SS and MSU.

What a p u s s y. Take AZs bet or GTFO of here. So typical - is bozo the softest city in 406?

I believe MSU coaches and players said the crowd noise at SDSU was the reason for their false starts and penalties, boy that place must be REALLY REALLY LOUD!

So ONE person says “I’ll take that bet” and you’re already backpedaling? Is it a bet or not 0-4 or not?

The gris would make the playoffs and hopefully lead MSU to another national title run.. but if we get upset in November by the gris again I know that’ll definitely upset our fan base.

Aren’t you the school yard bully. It’s not that the gris are good, I just don’t trust UCD completely. Last year I’d take that bet and I would have been right.

Ok what you wanna bet? I don’t do money. I make enough my annual salary doesn’t rely on pedaling delinquent fan bases.
