Are Carter-Hollinger and Satterwhite hurt?

It's a secret. Travis doesn't tell us anything in preseason podcasts. Why expect anyone to know why two guys that started first two games havent played at all in the next two? I didnt listen lto radio ast night but I'd have expected that "insta multi continual neverending" fact Riley Corcoran would have been able to shed some light!

My guess would be they are both in the doghouse. Probably stayed out late in Cedar City enjoying the night life. Oh wait, Cedar City has no nightlife. Unless you’re counting the traditional fireside where everyone tells off color jokes and then has to read a verse from the Book Of Mormon. BTW has anyone ever seen pictures of Brigham Young’s 30+ wives? Those are some ugly women. Hard to believe Steve Young traces his ancestors back to that bunch. Sorry, didn’t mean to bring up religion.

They haven't played the last two games.
BY now, we all should realize that Travis wont tell us anything. Even if he was hauled in to headquarters by the Gestapo, he will not squeal.

Travis did say carter was hurt but Travis also is not afraid to let them know he's boss...but the fluff interviews with Riley are less than informative...how bout poor ignored kid from bozeman, thinking he should have stayed there

I'm surprised Riley wouldn't have stated 45 times during the Georgia game: "This is the first time in program history that two guys who started the first two games of the season didn't play a minute nor suit up in the second two games of the season with no explanation given by the coach!"

I do feel for Anderson. So far Steadman's "production per minute of playing time" has to be among the worst on the team. Not that impressed with his body language either. Watched him diss Egun who gave up a late offensive rebound to two Georgia guys the other night. No way Egun has a chance for the rebound but he gets the two hands extended/roll the eyes treatment from Steadman. If anyone should be dissed for giving up offensive rebounds so far this year! If I can see that "language" watching on TV, hopefully coaches do too and change it.

Saw something similar from Parker......kind of wild but catchable pass to I believe Egun who fumbled it. Parker rolls eyes and slowly heads back on defense. If Parker, who's supposed to be such a great assist guy, had made a few more nice passes that players have had trouble catching, maybe he's got a beef. He hasn't.

By the way, Egun kind of kept that game the other night from turning into a totally embarrassing blowout.

Griz bball hasn't had guys that display that type of body language to fellow teammates in the 40+ years I've followed. I saw it from two new guys in the Georgia game.

I think at this point, a lot of it is frustration. I think the entire team as a whole is frustrated that they gave up both of those games to SUU and they're upset. We don't have much team chemistry with so many newcomers that this team needs to have positive vibes. I think that's a big part of why Decuire scheduled this game on Saturday against Yellowstone Christian is because this is a game that will be virtually impossible to lose, and this is a chance for these guys to feel positive about something and really work on some things and clean up some things. A chance to feel good about themselves and their performance and generate some positive momentum going into Washington on Wednesday which is a very winnable game. UC Riverside beat them by 15 points in Las Vegas last week, and if you're able to win that game or even keep it close, then they really start to believe that they can do this and they can win together. All of this will come together overtime. We just have to be patient with so many young players and new pieces, that I guarantee you by the time we roll back around to conference play, this team will be ready to compete at a high level. As for DJ and Satterwhite, I'm going to assume that they just have very minor injuries and will be good to go possibly for Saturday and definitely for UW on Wednesday. And if it is for disciplinary reasons, they've already sat out two games that I couldn't imagine Decuire holding them out much longer. Have patience my fellow Grizzlies. It will all come together, I promise!

I pretty much agree with your take, with everything compressed and all the pre season opponents Power 5 I'm going to be patient. But I have to also agree the lack of upper class leadership has been apparent as well. For a guy with proven success like Steadman I'd hope he could lead by working his tail off on the glass even when he isn't getting the touches he expects on the offensive end. Shows how much we had in Pridgett and what a leader he was. He could bark at a guy for a mistake and then quietly pump them up walking to the huddle for a TO. We'll see who can step up, the season is still young.

Parker looks like a JAG at this point and that's not a diss just is what it is most players are JAGs nothing wrong with it. Steadman however I would say is clearly out of the JAG category he is the tallest most coordinate guy I can remember, yes we have had big guy like Akoh and Kriz but they are more 6'8 thicc bodies, the benefit of being legit tall is when other guys cant reach up as high as you it just uncontested air space and if you have the coordination and touch to do little hook you can be pretty dominate against the shorter 6'8 guys. I think Steadman has the skill to take big advantage when he has a physical advantage which can be a game changer in bigsky. Now he doesnt seem to be much when the other guy is as big as him but Grizzlies cant be choosers at the C position.

Body language from all of them is horrible. Whining and complaining and pissing and moaning to their teammates when they do something wrong.

Also, collectively this team has the worst “hands” I’ve ever seen on a TD coached team....EVERYBODY has fumble fingers it seems...

Steadman's production per minute is actually one of the best on the team, behind Owens. Below stats based on 40 minutes.

Defensive rebounds 6.3, best on team (excluding Henderson).

3d in scoring (14.2 ), behind Owens (18.4 ) and Parker (14.9).

2d in blocks, behind Anderson.

4th in fouls (excluding Henderson).

4 players have more TOs.

Also, second best shooting percentage (50%) to Owens (53.5%). No 3's taken. 2-5 FTs.

Again, based on 40 minutes.
