This has probably been thrown around already but what are the chances of seeing a 1:1 series with App State.. They already have a bit of a tight schedule but 2018/2019 looks like something could be worked out..

Considering the number of times they have been brought up in conversation lately, I'd love to see it happen. Miss those fine folks.

Don't see it. ASU can't afford to have anything drag down their Strength of Schedule to be in line for a good bowl bid (sorry folks, but playing an FCS will hurt that). Of course, if they just go ahead and win the conference, they go to the usual conference-bowl tie-in thing, but you can't count on that.

BTW: Who else would like to see App State and Ga Southern finish 1-2 in the Sun Belt? :)

Overall, GSU not my favorite ... although the fans we met in Chattie, way back when, were good people and very respectful of the Griz program.

But putting aside all that, I stll think it would be pretty funny if the two recent FCS teams came to dominate the conference this soon.

That seems to always be the case. I hate the whole bowl game b***sh** but thats just me..
App State yes, GA no more like Arkansas state..
 
Although I do agree it would be cool to see both previous FCS schools that the top I just dont see it happening..
 
Appy State, unlike in the good old days, is now a Sunbelt member - and probably like other FBS conferences they may not permit their schools to do home and home contracts with FCS programs. You want to play'em? It'll always be a road game for the Griz. And you can expect more of the same as the defector list grows. Just plan to deal with it for now...

Do not know anything about their 2015 prospects, but last year ended like this:
Ga So (8-0 conf) (9-3 overall)
LA Lafay (7-1) (9-4)
App State (6-2) (7-5)
Tex St (5-3) (7-5)

Like I say, I'm not following the Sun Belt, but last year's records suggest both should be in contention.
 
Not that GA isn't a favorite to be 1-2 I just feel like App might knock them down a peg or 2.. But all things considering their season hasn't even started so time will tell..
