App State Citadel Game

GSU and APP ST back to back wins, Citidel looks pretty legit. impressive in the FCS world! They have my attention.
 
This is shocking, and no doubt the Citadel is the Deal.

But App is ALWAYS good at The Rock. I dont think this says much about the Griz.
 
Dang!!! Exactly what i was saying is App. St. that weak or was Citadel that good. Nah' it was because the Griz Game soaked all the energy from Appy and it usually takes a good 2 weeks to recover. :? right... come on tell me I am right :oops: Go Griz!!!
 
Look at what we saw in the Appy-Griz game; Appy's D had a good secondary and their LB were fast...Nygwen couldn't get to the edge, but they had a hard time with Moore. That would suggest that the triple option Citadel runs with a lot of Power. Different team match up differently. Also, Griz hangover.

As the saying goes, be careful what you wish for. The Citadel is for real. They moved the ball at will on us and were unstoppable. I would have to check, but I don't think they punted at all. This wasn't just a post-Montana celebration hangover, the boys in powder blue are good. They have athletes and in many cases were just beating our guys one on one. Without doubt the most humiliating App beatdown I can ever remember by an FCS opponent. It will be interesting to see what Cit does against NC State next week. I bet they make it a game.

I don't think that you really understand these fizz fan psychosis. They dont think that is was a post game celebration hangover, rather they actually believe that ASU put so much energy into beating um that there was nothing left in the tank for the Cit. You see in their small minds that is the only explanation for having lost to a team that has gone on to lose to (what is in their mind) a crappy team like the Cit.
 
Actually 2506, you once again don't know wtf you are talking about. Reality is the Griz are in absolute rebuilding mode - period. Appy is pretty damn close to the same. How good is either team? The season will tell and I believe the Griz have some gaps at certain positions. One thing I am confident of. The Griz and Appy would beat SFA or the Scats and you better get your kleenex ready for November. Your powder puff schedule will leave you delusional and have you believing your team is worth a s**t. Now go slither back in your hole - loser!

Good stuff, people! This is much more fun than all the handwringing and calling for coaches heads that is going on on the Mountaineer Message Board right now.
 
Heck Phil.....when the Fizz lose their next game the handwringing and second guessing will be jacked up a few more notches.....might even come this weekend against NAU....if not then the EWU game for sure. That gawd awful red turf in Cheney is worth 2 TD's!!!!

I like this griz team a lot. The passing defense needs some work as does the passing game. Assuming there is development over the year this will be an excellent team. MSU has major concerns on the oline and the defense has looked unremarkable at best. Not sure WTF another MSU fan is crowing about here. I think MSU has plenty to be worried about.
