why wouldn't we play App state every year? Seriously, the only downside i can think of in a continual rolling home-n-away with them would be the novelty wearing off--something i dont think is possible, ever.

I recall a stretch of 2003 - 2010 where I think we played CPSLO 5 or 6 times... I think Griz (and Poly) fans got a little tired of the matchup

The reason you thought that is because they scheduled those darn games with McNeese about a decade in advance. Don't know why they felt compelled to push them so far out into the future but they did.

The McNeese games were set up PRIOR to reaching the similar agreement with Appalachian State. Though both App State games were scheduled and are being played before the first with the Cowboys.

I just hope App St dont move up next year and they can carry out their commitment with us... :thumb:

I too am an App State Grad. and I can assure you most of the Alumni do not want to move up to the FBS. I am not a supporter of it. A few years back a group tried to move us up but the majority of the alum and students opposed it....secondly, I would rather play you guys anyday of the week than Michigan. I look forward to a "rivalry" with UM....think it would be great for both of us. AND You guys have great fans.
