Anyone watching

Is anyone watching the players (Mens or Womens) now that can report how things are going? I am in Minneapolis this year and would like to know any new Basketball information anyone has to share. I have read all the old threads. Just looking for something new. Nothing has been reported for a while.

When and where are you able to watch them?

3 to 6 most week days, either in the field house or the south gym. Yesterday they were in the field house, but there are events scheduled in the FH the rest of the week.

The Griz have plenty of talent to have a great season. One person who saw a few workouts said" Strait and Hasquet look
very good." The key will be teamwork and having a point guard
who runs the offense and distributes the ball well"

can't have a maroon/silver scrimmage till after practise starts. that used to be october 15.

would we have up-to-the-minute scrimmage reports from six different posters if this were football? we'll get there.

by my reckoning, we lose to 'ships next year--strait and martin. michael taylor gets one of those, tyler hurley might get the other. off year for recruiting excitement.

I watched them yesterday, It was by pure luck, I was walking to my car and Tinks told me that they were playing in Dahlberg

Sorry I moved to Denver City. Believe me, I miss watching them play in open gyms. Last one I seen was in July. I posted on it before. Hasquet has slimmed down, quicker, handles the ball well for a big, and much quicker. He was looking to take the ball to the hole and perimter D was better than I ever expected from him. Strait also was quicker, yet still strong. I watched him warmup shooting FT's. He looked much more comfortable there and misses were rimmers. Martin was on fire from downtown and looking to distribute. Hurley, will be a very good offensive player. I could tell he had been hitting the weights. Selvig started off struggling from the perimeter, caught fire and hit shots from everywhere, and looked very good distributing. Perimeter D and strength need a lot of work. He is a legit 7'. Qvale has a nose for the ball like Sharp and very natural shotblocker with solid frame already. I could see his potential but think he definitely needs a redshirt year.

Phillips was very impressive, but turns out he is not going to be a GRIZ as hoped. Taylor was not there or any other jcers. However, McGillis was there. Too bad he has to sit out an year. He is nasty defending the wing, handles the ball better than expected, unselfish, and nice perimeter shot. He, Hasquet, and Martin had very good chemistry. He will be a very good BSC player and all conference.

When I get back to visit I definitely will watch them play. Until then, someone please give us updates. I will try getting some inside updates with a few contacts I have.

Did you drop the water bottles when you were filling them? :thumb:

hey i filled the CUPS up for the beginning of last year... and rundles was a pretty confident leader then.

No question Rundles has great ability; Ideally, I would pefer him
at the 2 slot because of his shooting abllity. Griz need a point guard
who can score but who also can run the offense to capitalize on
Strait and Hasqets threat and hopefullu whoever plays the 3.
