Look at this years playoff bracket and sigh a little? I can't help but miss having Appalachian State, Ga Southern, and the others that were perennial powers in the playoff bracket.I sure do. Looking at this years bracket just doesn't seem right without them. I know, this is "old news", but I can't shake that feeling of being left behind.

Me too, for sure. I tried watching some other FCS playoff games, but the east coast private schools with 1,200 people in the stands just don't hold my attention for long. It just feels watered down.

That is because it is watered down. I can only hope that when all this turmoil in the NCAA settles down the Griz end up in a good spot. It is hard to feel confident right now, though.

Ya, I had a deep sigh, but it was because of who was in our playoff bracket (SDSU, NDSU, PSU, Ill St.) not who wasn't. Things change. These are some damn competetive teams.

There are still plenty of teams in FCS from the Griz run of the mid to late 2000s

James Madison
Richmond
William & Mary
McNeese State
Sam Houston State
Northern Iowa
North Dakota State

Yes, we are missing certain stalwarts, but the national landscape is still much the same.
