Any updates on JJ?

Do we know how JJ is healing up or progressing? Any word on whether he will be back this Saturday? Is he practicing this week? Hoping he gets back to normal!

Yeah I sure hope he plays. Missing the game versus Central Washington didn't hurt the team's chances but South Dakota is no cupcake. I'm making the 621-mile drive out to Missoula from Sidney and both me and my 8-yr-old son really want to see J.J. and the Griz light it up under the lights of Washington Grizzly Stadium.

I bumped into Mick Sunday while he was watching the TV interview in front of the Adams Center. He said JJ was fine, was actually cleared to play last week, but there was no reason to and it's a long season. He also said every player suited up played Saturday.

Montana starting quarterback Jordan Johnson will be ready to play Saturday against visiting South Dakota, UM coach Mick Delaney said Tuesday.

Johnson sat out last Saturday's home game against Central Washington with a concussion. He suffered the injury on opening day at Wyoming.

"He's doing fine," Delaney said. "He's followed all the protocol that you need to follow when you've been concussed.

"Actually I think by Friday last week he was feeling pretty darn good. But it's still a process you have to go through and I believe he threw a little bit (Monday) I think. That was the first day of real activity other than working up a sweat a little bit on Sunday. He's on track to practice tonight."

 We'll need him and I want to watch him play. I think this game will be tough. Looking forward to Wahlberg's report on SD.
