Plans B and C are in place for QB??? SSH may be the most capable backup now, but he is definitely not the preferred QB for this current offense. He will bring a very good passing skill set, though. McKinney appears to be a year or more away. He has shown flashes of brilliance, but his passing game needs to develop. Kemp has running skills that are very appealing, but he is not close to a complete passing QB. If JJ is out, the offense will definitely be adjusted to better suit one of these QB's.

I do believe we will have a very good D-Line, but they are not a proven quantity yet. The interior will be young, but has a ton of talent. We have some very good quality at DE as well, but I'm waiting for a consistent, great pass rushing DE to step up.

CB definitely scares me the most. I think we have talent, but I will hold my breath for at least the first month of the season on passing downs. I'm hopeful the LB's and D-Line can put some pressure on
opposing QB's so the CB's aren't exposed.

......meant that there are options that have been discussed that arent on roster. Best case scenario is that our QB is on roster, but if not there are a couple out there on standby.

What do you mean by "options out there on standby"? Seems awfully late to be thinking about bringing a transfer QB in to be our starter.

Trying to say that top level QB's are lining up just waiting for news that JJ is out before jumping on a plane to Missoula

Sadly have to agree here

True story, big name QB is coming to UM after JJ leaves. I can't name any names yet but will post it on here Monday at high Noon.

(Pssst... isn't it about time for someone to start another thread about Tate Forcier?)

Take your pick. Montana, Forcier, Kessman, Tab Perry, the list goes on. Some door knobs on here have a history of starting stupid shit about some super star drop down that never happens.

and yet, even without these super star drop downs, scores like 36-10 keep happening fairly frequently - 70-36-5 type frequently..... it's all good tho, we all know the kittens are the greatest thing since sliced bread - their 10 minutes being ranked #1 prove that

Maybe Tab Hunter will try football this time, and come help us out at CB.

...and yes this probably goes over the head of the vast majority of egrizzers.

Let's not forget what happened last time the CATS came into your house... you can bet I'm not going to let any of you forget that, just like I'm not going to let you forget what happens there again this year. :thumb:

Well I get the two usual outcomes and teams mixed up, but I'm guessing it was either:

A) Team A barely beats team B thanks to red zone turnovers, despite being outgained by a hundred yards, and hangs on for a thrilling victory

B) Team B destroy team A

Reminds me of a classic Simpsons episode:

Ned Flanders: Pardon me, neighbourinos. Some of our boys are lost in your town. You wouldn't have happened to see them, by any chance?
Shelbyvillian #1: Sounds like Springfield's got a discipline problem.
Shelbyvillian #2: Maybe that's why we beat them at football nearly half the time.
*Shelbyvillian #1 and Shelbyvillian #2 toast beers*

This.

i've learned two things in this thread....

1. close wins don't count as wins and should be disregarded

2. turnovers aren't part of football so if they occur and contribute to a loss....said loss never happened

thanks. :thumb:

No, it's more like we're these X's (on a spectrum of bad to good going right)

|---------------------XXXXXXXX----|

And the Cats are these X's

|-------------XXXXXXX--------------|

...and the the only way the X's can overlap is if we play on the bad end of our spectrum, and you play on the good end. ie 2010

And I don't especially like smack talking you iltc, but Cat trolls on this site open you guys up as fair game :thumb:

Actually I am with ILTC on this one. Heppner's kick to beat them at the last second was a Griz win, full stop. Give the Cats their due. They have won a couple of times in the last 18 years. That's pretty damn good, all things considered.
