Whatever dude. Keep avoiding the obvious. Not one that was irrelevant to my post.
How about this: If it’s not a “a Bobby thing”, what IS it then?

Dude, this is the question that my post was in response to.Whatever dude. Keep avoiding the obvious.
How about this: If it’s not a “a Bobby thing”, what IS it then?
Well the answer to that is likely YES, he’s the only one that wouldn’t be fired.Dude, this is the question that my post was in response to.
"If anyone coached the Griz this season, losing to the bubs twice, is Bobby the only one that would not be fired?"
So whatever yourself.
I disagree. I don't think anyone as the head coach gets fired after a 13-2 season and an appearance in the semifinals, even with both loses to the bubs.Well the answer to that is likely YES, he’s the only one that wouldn’t be fired.
How does that make it “not a Bobby thing”? Seems like it’s EXACTLY a Bobby thing.
your answer invites more questions. Do you think there’s no problems at all? Or if it just reductively comes down to “the trenches,” why have the Cats gotten better than us, what’s the answer for fixing it, and why, with the massive head start the Griz had 15-20 years ago, did the Griz let that happen by not taking proactive steps to stomp that out?I disagree. Everyone wants me to editorialize, but all my post stated was Bobby isn't getting fired, and it isn't just because it is Bobby, it is because the people in the position to make a decision aren't going to fire a guy that just went 13-2 with a SF appearance even if the 2 loses were to the bubs.your answer invites more questions. If you’re going to defend the status quo as acceptable, give legitimate reasons why, not some half baked snark about beating the little sisters of the poor.
There are a lot of good coaches out there.I get it, lots of people want Bobby and Co gone. But who do people want to replace him with? If it was my decision and I am glad it’s not because I am not qualified for that, I’m getting a young guy from outside the state of Montana.
For once I agree with you.Everyone wants me to editorialize, but all my post stated was Bobby isn't getting fired, and it isn't just because it is Bobby, it is because the people in the position to make a decision aren't going to fire a guy that just went 13-2 with a SF appearance even if the 2 loses were to the bubs.
Also, yes, the Griz are now little brother. They entire university has fallen behind because of poor leadership. This isn't only a football problem.
I agree they are not firing a coach that went 13 and 2, but they could fire a coach for his behavior with the press and his sideline antics. The look of him telling the official to F-off was a terrible look for the university.Everyone wants me to editorialize, but all my post stated was Bobby isn't getting fired, and it isn't just because it is Bobby, it is because the people in the position to make a decision aren't going to fire a guy that just went 13-2 with a SF appearance even if the 2 loses were to the bubs.

Yep. That's Bobby being Bobby because he's allowed to act that way without any repercussions.I agree they are not firing a coach that went 13 and 2, but they could fire a coach for his behavior with the press and his sideline antics. Bodnar supports Hauck and understands sports and college sports. At this point, not treating Hauck right would dry up the major contributions to football. I exclude the Washingtons. I don't know their views, but their main ocnection to UM football has been a big supporter of Hauck to date. Hauck will coach UM until he wants to retire or move on, is my view.I'm not in the camp that thinks Haslam is the problem, Bobby wields lots of power in the Athletic department by virtue of what he has built over the years while at Montana. Bodnar may be the one who has to question the current state of affairs... which IMHO would still have both Hauck and Haslam returning...
Yes, he will. The $64,000 question is “HOW does he coach until he retires or moves on?”. Boosters are begging for change in recruiting and scheme to address the “Cat Problem”.Hauck will coach UM until he wants to retire or move on, is my view.
I deserve better….. I think that’s what Little Bill said at the end of Unforgiven. And that's the problem with Montana football.
We deserve better
I am not aware of any big or important or influential boosters wanting a change, let alone begging. The wanting a change comes most from Know-Nothings who have no influence, don't understand the game, and don't support the program in any meaningful financial way. If you've got names, serve them up. You jokers really want to bring back the "success" that occurred after Hauck left after his first stint? Is that what you want?Yes, he will. People like you don't deserve a damn thing. And that's the problem with Montana football.
We deserve better
Finals in the 2023-24 season, last year we almost missed the playoffs, and we came close to missing the playoffs several other times since 2018….in a conference that has a lot of doormats. And we have made the semis twice since Bobby returned in 2018. 2-6 (I think, the losses kind of blend together) against our rivals in that time.
Theres a valid case for firing Bobby.
And the cats lost their best defensive player to injury as well, DPOY in the big sky. They’re just deeper and better coached. Going 2-8 in the last 10 kind of proves the point.Anyone blaming the coaches and calling for their scalps.is an ignorant moron. There were unforeseen injuries to key perspnnel that played a very significant part in this loss..
I’ve been saying this forever. And I think this is how it should be. Bobby should definitely be there for as long as HE chooses to be there. Anything else would really be unfair.Hauck will coach UM until he wants to retire or move on, is my view.
