Any Bets............

I agree the defensive side of the ball (line for sure) has been neglected in recruiting emphasis (or at least in signings). Ty knows without the high quality players...tough to have a defense and then the blame falls on him. Stitt being offensive minded surely doesn't want the blame being a bad offense so will assure that he gets recruits to work with....

Also, does seems a lot of postings about issues with players and coaches (holdover for sure) on same page as Stitt. Might be a lot of turnover in staff and players this spring.....not what is wanted in a solid program

Status quo versus working out the bugs. I'll take working out the bugs.

If Ty left for a better job I would say fine...but if he left due to not getting defensive recruits I would say not "working out the bugs". What DC in their right mind would want a job where you are hamstringed by all the scholarships going to the offense

Considering everybody who has commented on the Griz struggles for the last 3 years has identified the o-line as the weakest link, with the defense doing well with its recruits, Ty should stop pouting (if that's what is going on here) if offense is the greater focus of this years' recruiting. With the scholly reductions neither side of the ball is getting all the scholly's and players they want. Moreover, when the final class is signed including transfers, I'm sure there will be plenty of new defensive recruits. I see nothing wrong with Stitt trimming and then replacing offense players under scholly, just as I wouldn't fault Ty for doing the same on his side of the ball.

Is it just me or are 2/3rds of the posters here unable to find and put on their big-boy pants each day?

(I heard its tradition that egrizzers should to go fishing every 500th post)

It's important to keep in mind that a program should strive for a 50/50 mix of schollies between offense and defense. When Stitt arrived 60% of the schollies were allocated to the defense and only 40% to the offense. Part of what we are seeing is a healthy re-balancing of schollies between O and D.

If it's health related no one could blame him for giving up football. Like alpha said there's life after football. I'm hoping for the best for Henderson. The dude seems like a stand up guy. GO GRIZ!!!!

Uhhmmmm......
Defense will be down 9 starters.......

Just sayin'

And Ty. I think it's safe to say the griz will be rebuilding in 2016. Don't jump down my throat with a bunch of comments about how you don't rebuild you reload... I know that. Just saying it will probably be a bit bumpy replacing all those veterams AND installing a new scheme with new coaches.

We don't even know if it's a new scheme. Could just be a new person running a new scheme and it was going to be bumpy no matter what.

You guys will really be rebuilding in the litter box. Both sides of the ball are decimated and they clearly sucked this year.

No, our offense didn't suck... we had a very powerful offense but thanks for the info. Defensively we sucked, and obviously this hire is HUGE for MSU and anyone that doesn't think this hire is going to improve our defense has their head in the sand.

When he was coaching for you guys, I tell you what, that Colorado incident was a bad deal, nothing to joke about. But now looking back, heck - he ws just having some fun, nothing to see here. LoL

You really need to stop repeating this like it actual fact. It's not. Not even close.
