Another USC Transfer

Did you literally just say “only a 4 star LB” in a negative way. Tell me you know absolutely nothing about 4 star recruits without telling me you know absolutely nothing about 4 star recruits. Please name how many 4 star FB recruits the Griz have landed since inception. I’m guessing you’ll use one hand. Yes, he’s been injury riddled through career. That may hamper him here too. But my entire point is you can’t say “only a 4 star” when talking this level of football. Wow.

Not to be a jerk, but aren't you kind of answering your own question? What history do we have in regards to previously injured four stars? Can you answer that one?

My wife would disagree as she is an alumni of Oregon State U. (Beavers). Since the '60s OSU was one of the bottom dwellers in the PAC until recently. The Trojans always dominated this game.

Simmer down. I thought he was coming in as a DE as that’s what he’s been playing at USC. He wasn’t a 4 star DE out of high school. He’s also like 7 years removed from that rating potential. We know what he has done at USC. That’s all that was meant.

Also, I am trying to temper expectations because everyone on here will label him the next greatest thing without seeing him play in uniform. Unfair expectations many of our fans do to transfers. Last year was a great example what fans did with all of the transfers that came in. I’m hoping for the best but trying to be realistic. If he’s awesome that’s great and I’ll root for it.

How many 4 star high school players don’t pan out? A lot. How many 4 star high school eventually drop down a level and don’t pan out still? Quite a few. Cats have had a few over the years that have made little to no impact. So we all should just wait until he gets here and see how he can contribute.

WTF are you even talking about?

The poster said “he was only a 4 star LB in high school” like it was a bad thing. I am pointing out that a 4 star is a HUGE deal, especially at FCS and we’ve probably only ever had 4 total since our inception.

Nothing less. Nothing more. Don’t twist it.
 
Uh, if I read the incoming stats, he played 21 games and recorded 22 tackles. Pretty underwhelming but I am still hopeful for him.
