Remember that FG contest that went awry? It's happened again.
A dude in Stockton, CA, aced the 17th hole during a golf tournament that specified that an ace on the 17th hole would win a $39K Ford something or other. Pictures were taken, hands were shaken, publicity was put out congratulating him. Weeks later, the insurance refused to pay up, leaving the dealership and the country club pointing fingers at each other. Seems that although the hole was labeled the 17th hole, it was something like the 21st out of 27 that he played that day. The club blames the dealership for not telling the insurance company. The dealership says the club didn't say it was an extended-hole tournament. Three of these new-fangled vehicles are sitting on the lot collecting dust, but the dealer says they can't afford to eat the cost of one. It's been SIX freaking MONTHS, and dude has no car.
What is wrong with this world?!?
