Another disappointing performance.

Was the Call bullshit? Yes. Should we have even been in that position? No.

Minimum we have to win 2 out of the next 4 to have a shot at the playoffs (best chances being Cal Poly and EWU). Weber State and MSU will be tough but winning one of those will go a long way in ensuring we get in.

4 loses won't get you into the playoffs. They have to go 3-1.

In the past a 7 win Montana has gotten to the playoffs, I agree 3-1 minimum would be best but it's not impossible if we win 2 out of the next 4. Would need the MVFC to beat themselves up a bit more to help, and the CAA

Umm our starting qb and best receiver got injured and early too. The fact that we went to OT with Sac st with Brown, is insane. We owned the game until the last 5 mins. Play calling got worse towards the end but, that's due to not being able to have the same game plan as they did with Johnson. If he was healthy I guarantee griz would have rolled. Is what is. Refs had some play in it too. Swear to God someone pays them off.

Another apologist. Rosy is terrible. Brown is terrible. Hauck’s ST are terrible. But tell me how great it is again. Pissed that game down our leg.

I wouldn’t call having your starting qb Vontaze Burficted being an “apologist.” Shit like that has a huge effect. You lose a huge amount of dynamic playmaking ability. Did you also notice how Sac took out Bergen on a kick catch interference? Maybe it was part of their plan…

As a former o-lineman (absolutely NOT for the Griz or anything past high school) I’d be wrecking people for those cheap shots. My qb took a cheap shot once and I’d never been more fired up in my life. I practically begged the coach to run power so I could steam roll the offending LB.

Bozeman loses Mellott and doesn't miss a beat. Sac State simply plays two at a time. EWU appears to be a QB factory. Idaho State played us with their 3rd string QB and he even found a way to move the ball on us.

What happens when our starter goes down? We look like a freaking pop warner team on offense.

This game shouldn’t have come down to the onside kick, blocked field goal, or blown call. This offense needs to go win the fucking game for once.

Yeah idk if you know this but, we don't have any legit qbs besides Johnson. Quit being a baby. Griz took the number 2 team in the country to OT with a backup qb, that's known for not being very good, and without or best offensive weapon in Bergen... they gameplanned the game for Johnson, not Brown. Unexpected injuries while playing on the road to a team that's hasn't been behind in a game since last November, is a tough task. We have a good team and there's still more football to be had. This was basically like a late playoff game. One thing the griz definitely need is better depth at the qb positionidk what's the deal with our starting qbs always getting hurt...

Uh huh. Tell me more about Browns passes to nowhere. Who gives a damn who prepared for what? We are where we are. I’ll take Britt or anybody any day over this dipshit. Brown had multiple chances last year and sucked. He’s no better this year. If Brown is the best then give me Roberts. Brown sucks as much as Rosy. Friggin insanity.

This staff needs to do some serious soul searching. Starting with the OC. Then Hauck and his “special” teams. For such a guru, he sure is getting his ass kicked in the special teams department. As soon as they got that on-sides, I knew the jig was up. That’s twice in a row they’ve lost those kicks. At least the Idaho one was super gutsy. The Sac one was an obvious scenario where even a Jr High JV team from the School for the Blind saw it coming.

Sac remains cheap shot artists. That shot on LJ was such an amazingly dirty play. Kind of like what Weebs used to be.

If LJ is out for any length of time beyond tomorrow, this team ain’t making the playoffs.

Too bad. Thought they finally had it together.
What else would we expect from Pam U? Anybody who has been a fan long enough knows Sac has zero problems cheating and I absolutely would not put it past them (even though it’s a different coach) to say “hey you know he’s gonna kill us if he stays in the game”.Wouldn’t surprise me if that conversation happened at all.

That aside, I believe it’s time for Rosenbach to hit the bricks, and if Hauck won’t let him go, maybe Bob needs to go with him.

I’ll admit I was in the RTD circle along with pretty much everyone else when it was announced he was coming back. Now I believe if he doesn’t make changes in his staff, it’s time for the school to end the relationship. It’s been four years and HIS team is not producing.

I know I’m gonna get called a fair weather fan, not true, but even if it was, so what? Honestly, and everyone knows this, Bob wasn’t able to get it done in the big games to begin with, so what were we really returning to?

Mick coached three years… 24-14 they let him go.
He who shall not be named was at the U 3 years… 24-14. Heck Pflugrad was only 13 and 7 in two year’s, granted he got us sort of in trouble. Bob and company been here four years at the end of this season, he hasn’t gotten it done. He moves his lips then calls games like last night, and the week before and the week before.

This team will not beat Weber State, may not beat EWU, and certainly won’t beat the $hittens

It’s time for Bob and company to hit the road and saying that actually frickin makes me sort of sad. I mean seriously HOW IN THE HELL is Brown QB 2? How? He plays scared, he makes trash decisions, he can’t throw the ball? Why isn’t Britt QB 2?

And who they have beaten. Griz still need a signature win. Only saving grace is the NCAA like games with 25K fans in attendance!

We will see was said last weekend too. Never wanna see a kid get hurt but you had a 10 point lead with 7 minutes and found a way to lose. That’s what bad teams do.

Wasn't everyone predicting sac st to "roll" us??? Don't kno w how many times I heard that. We took the number 2 team in the country to OT with a backup qb and without Bergen.

Yes we did and lost, it's where the check mark goes that counts. Moral victories don't count in the standings.

Most of these guys talking all this crap are. Not that hard to quit watching the griz, which is what they should do. I've been a griz fan my entire life. Montana born and raised and I'll never not root for my team and I'll never belittle them. I'll give some criticism but, these guys are on a whole new level of whiney douche bags.

this is an excuse.
i believe that 2 or more conference losses are not going to get anyone
in the playoffs. unless the commitee takes 4 from the big sky.
sac state gets by the vandals they could go undefeated, they have weber following,
(wihich had the bobcats beat but pulled a losing effort in the final minutes), so they could go out with
a 1 loss record in conference if they lose 1 of the next 2 games,
montana st has 3 games left with only us to beat to give them a 1 conference loss if we beat them.
the. way the vandals are playing they could win out giving them 1 loss conference record if sac state beats them next week.
with yesterdays loss and upcoming games with the wildcats, ew and state we are playing against the wind.
if we cannot win against strong teams, how are we expected to be playoff ready.
no more excuses, good teams rise to the occasion and win when it is necessary.
as i have said many times here, it is not the players who do not play well, it is the coaching and the decision that they make that put the players in a position to perform. to me it is more the coaches making the bad calls than the players messing up.

more excuses.......sac state had a 3rd string defensive end in due to injuries.
a. it will happen in this sport, so get over it
b. good teams have their underlings prepared for just such circumstances.
c. bobcats had to use their second string qb to beat weber, even tho he was a starter before, so was
kris brown last year. this is just part of the game, the coaches have to prepare for the unforseen that will
become the forseen at some point in this game/season. all the players made the roster for some reason,
oh ya, to play.

5 Big Sky games made the playoffs last year, and the conference is better this year. A 2 conference loss team with no other losses would easily make the playoffs. Even with 3 or 4 losses, UM's losses might all be to playoff teams.

Is it your view that the coaches should have continued to play Johnson, putting him and the team in position to win the game?

Perhaps for a national champ team, but a pretty good excuse with the very good qb hurt on bench, and with him being sick in the prior game.

fair enough on you analysis. i was just looking at our conference using the remaining schedule as a barometer as to strength/weakness to upcoming opponents and projecting the top 4. right now it is sac state, msu, vandals and weber. so yes, if the committee goes with 5 again this year and the Griz win 2-4 left then they get in.
as to your question, no way was i referring to leave LJ in, that was a bad hit and you could tell he felt it.
i, like others on this forum, am not putting the players in a position to perform because most of the time they do, it is the play calling and lack of preparation that i see more than not. ex, from last night, the onside kick, kris was off on routine passes was that due to him or not getting the attention in practice or him,
(comparison, vandals used a 3rd string qb last week and did well against a stellar defense, to me that is coaching), play calling is another issue that many have mentioned here and I agree, we are predictable over 50% of the time. how many things that you saw last night that were not predictable by sac state, we do not mix it up enough on offense to counter our predictability. sac state closed in on both run and passing plays several times like they knew what and who we were going to use on offense.
