Andy Petek - "The Making of a Heavyweight Contender

I found it amusing that the Chronicle, in all its glory, headlined their article for Andy Peter prior to the fights...Glad to see him win!
 
I used to box in Butte. A heavyweight friend of mine named Tom Putra (from Butte as well) had great fights with Petek. Tom had great golden gloves experience.
They earned each others respect. I remember watching a terrific fight between them in the Missoula Wilma Theatre, place was packed. Petek earned the decision.
