Andrew Strait

I forgot to mention Austin Swift at wing. Also, Kyle Sharp is extremely talented and should figure into the post player mix. On paper the GRIZ look to be so loaded at the post positions I wonder if Krysko may ask a younger post player, such as Sharp or Van Vliet, to redshirt.

That's my point, we have so many 4's and 5's. Chase looks like a good prospect, but it almost seems like we could use a 2 or 3 instead. Swift looks talented, but I don't see him ready to contribute much quite yet. To be honest, Ellis looks to be the odd guy in whole mix to me.

I wouldnt mind seeing that, it just seems like the griz will be loaded the next not so much about the talent but how deep this team is going to be!

I think that might be much more important. No longer will teams be able to double team our Juco-Dazzler-of-the-year, because the talent is spread wide and deep with Krysco in town.

Consitency! God, it's been along time coming. Now we don't have to worry about the team being carried on the mood a few players; losing to a D-2, then knocking off Stanford at Maples...WTF?

It is being said that Andrew Strait handles himself on the floor and
under the basket a little like coach Krysto did in college. Strait wasnt
supposed to be this good this fast. I would venture to say he is
benefiting greatly from the coaching of Krysto.

How much is Strait benefitting from Krysto's coaching??

I don't agree that Strait "wasn't supposed to be this good this fast". I figured he would be playing at this level in his 2nd season. Because he was one of the best players in the state of Washington. If you are one of the best in Wash, you can dominate in the BSC in your second Soph year of college...

Apparently so! :thumb: Andrew was one of the top rated forwards in Washington!

I heard Gonzaga did not recruit Andrew Strait. I guess they were going with Josh Heytfeldt and David Pendergraft. Josh is out with an ankle fracture. Pendo is a good role player. He should play more because he is more aggressive than Sean Mallon who is not exactly tearing it up.
It looks like Few wasted scholarships on Calum MacLeod and Mamery Diallo. Neither are good enough to play at that level.

Wasn't Strait hurt his whole junior year and thats when he comitted to the Griz? Then he tears it up as a Senior turns heads, but still goes to the Griz.

Might be for the best...anyone named "Mamery" is going to have a rough time with opposing student sections.
