You know, @griz4life, it just goes to show that you can sacrifice everything in high school to get a chance, wake up for 5 am workouts, pour your heart and soul into a program, finally earn a scholarship, become special teams player of the year, willingly give up a full ride to Bobby’s face so that we could get more CBs because some transferred out, become national player of the week, become all conference, win multiple game balls, win the Big Sky 5 times, go 4-1 against the cats, play for the national title twice, become a financial contributor to the program you love, and after all that this is the shit they write about you online because you don’t agree to be a fluffer for a program that can be better. Or they go personal like Taber.

I would implore all of you to avoid or block Jack and Taber. They are the absolute worst type of fan in the world. When their precious online world is threatened they will turn on everyone and anyone, even those who contributed more than they can possibly imagine. Cast these two on an ice floe and all of our lives will be better off.

I was sitting next to a parent tonight. He doesn’t like Schmidt’s stuff. I learned a lot about the current nuts and bolts of Griz football.

Didn't say that it did, just meant that comparing Washington '21 to Oregon '25 is not an apples-to-apples comparison. It was a great win for the Griz, no doubt, but this year's Oregon team would crush that year's Washington team as well. I agree that the 'Cats looked lost in that game, except for Taco and Lamson.

I seem to remember Andrew Schmidt willing the Griz to a victory on the road, at No. 11 Cal Poly in 2008, part of the decade that some ignorant boob in this thread said the Big Sigh was weak. The team was down 21-14 at half. Schmidt rushed for 124 tough yards after halftime and the Griz won 30-28. Oh yeah, he blocked a punt, too.

I didn’t “shit” on any individual. I said the the offensive line sucked during the UND game, which it objectively did — 6 sacks and about 2 ypc. I’d guess the coaches delivered a pretty similar message. May have even used stronger language. At the time we were also sixth in ypc in conference games. I had concerns about the offensive line that still haven’t been answered. I think they’ve done better protecting Ah Yat, albeit against weaker competition. At the same time, they have been inconsistent in the run game. I thought they were generally good against MSU allowing us to run the ball effectively. But it was pretty clear Pease didn’t trust them to hold up against MSU’s front 4 in pass protection.
I made a pretty innocent joke that I would expect any grown man could handle and shake off. You flew off the handle and tried to make things personal, including assertions you don’t know anything about.

Kyle is by far the weak link of a pod hes on. Literally. Each regular member contributes way more. Ive listened a few times this year during windshield time. Kyle was hungover and could barely formulate a sentence, and then got overly emotional and went off about the offensive line. This was 6 weeks after the und game. When I pressed him on it and offered rationale arguments, he literally correlated our o line to shit. It was an emotional rant. He had to go back to the und game to discuss the sacks... a game in which of course we won.

I have liked Kyle since I met him. But, on Griz football, he is stuck with that Missoulian gene and instinct to unduly criticize, even when he doesn't know what he is talking about. He's a quieter Schmidt but knows Schmidt is too extreme. Kyle isn't a loudmouth like Schmidt. Brint has a better feel and understanding of Griz football than the others. My sample of the show is limited. But if Schmidt or anyone wants to take shots at me, I am happy to return fire.

I spent considerable time with several Griz parents this afternoon and tonight. Learned a ton. About scheme, personnel and more. Brint and Elrod got some downloads. Spent time with the Andersons too. Colt and his wife are in town. Love that family.

Hoops did too... he said he hasnt seen the strength numbers so its tough to comment. Have you seen the strength numbers? I have not either.

The only thing that has caught my eye is the pro day numbers from last year... there was some highly impressive numbers from the cats dudes, and the griz numbers were a little underwhelming aside from junior obviously posting an adequate 40 time to get drafted.
