Andrew Schimdt nails it. Maybe he should be the next head Griz coach.

Schmidt is an entertaining guy. Probably a great lawyer. But he has not coached ever. He enjoys conflict. That makes him a great lawyer and entertaining podcast guest. But thinking he should be the next Griz coach? Some of you folks have no idea what these coaches do to get these teams ready. Including Schmidt.

Not only that , just because we're not built exactly like NDSU doesn't mean we haven't been or can't be successful. We beat NDSU in our house 2 years ago using our system, and thats true for any coach running almost any kind of system, it comes down to coaching and execution, if you're able to do both well you will succeed.
Why? I don't need to listen to others tell me stuff about things I know.
I know as much or more about just about anyone spewing Griz content.
As if today - Griz are, in fact, FCS championship caliber. Period. Anyone saying they are not ought to have their mouths forcefully taped or stapled shut.

Well I should hope so. I'm assuming they have at least 2 gyms available to them to work out in so one would hope they're in good shape.....
I think it’s going to be interesting to see how Bobby finishes his career here. The way I see it there’s two paths, one is Stiggelmeyer, the other is Jerome Sauers.
The FCS is easier to succeed in than it was a decade+ ago. It just is. Sam Houston, JMU, UMASS, App State, etc have all left and nobody filled their shoes as year in year out contenders….so realistically, with the pride, support, venue, and resources, I believe that Bobby’s stated expectations that include a national title are realistic.
If Bobby can complete the self scout and get over the hump, beating the Dakota state schools and Bozeman for a title or two, that’s the stiggelmeyer route. If he leaves without it, who’s to say he’s just not jerome sauers driving a nicer car?

But he played at a high level of college football for the Griz. Seems like I know of other players that when on to be coaches. He knows what it takes a lot more than most .

You write like a 6th grader. Did Daddy give you access to his account ? I enjoyed interacting with the real Hoops because he did know some things about football. Not as much as me because I have played the game.

With all he has done Schmidt has bled, sweat, and given back to this program and knows more than you will ever know about whats gone on in the past or present. Once a griz always a griz, remember?

I have been critical of the S/C program on here for awhile (and a lot of that comes from discussions with former players on the matter) I know Ryan has a lot of ties to Bobby, but it also could be of "not the man but the plan". Perhaps a compromise would be to send him to a program not in FCS that has time and time again proven its success and would be willing to share the secrets of their program since will not compete directly against us. Copy the great programs , it isn't rocket science. Bobby is stubborn and very loyal to staff so might be only way to make any needed changes and save face all in one. No shame in learning, adapting. Now on the other hand if the guy is unwilling to adapt/change/admit short comings then that's another situation.
