We picked up a DE transfer from YSU who has a great motor and good size. Should be a good addition. Had 22 tackles last season with 4.5 TFL

Maybe it's an exception considering he hasn't had much play time. Idk... Waste of a schollie as it stands. Could prove to be wrong but, as of now, that schollie could go to someone more deserving.

How do you go about determining how much PT he’s gotten?

Those are career stats. He was not a D starter.

My bad, I was looking at the solo column. So he had 59 total tackles in his 5 years at YSU. Got it.
 
I'm very happy with this pick up

We need defensive depth on the line, linebackers, and secondary

This helps for sure

Also I believe our coaching staff is way Better than Youngstown st and we will see this kid get put in the great spots to succeed

Maybe this is what I needed to hear. He's a high motor guy but not horribly productive. Someone will argue about stats not telling it all...but that's a DT argument. DE should get TFL, assists, QBH, QBS. DT are block eaters. Maybe I am just irritated that there aren't and DT's yet

I think I may have pinpointed my issue here...maybe I am SO excited about the last season that I can't wait for the next to begin. Maybe I just want all the holes filled and for Frisco to happen again.

Yes you definitely know better than the coaching staff. I mean you did read his stat page and watch 30 seconds of film on twitter so I believe you are qualified to make this statement.
 
Youngstown had a bunch of kids go to the Portal. Mostly D players. I think all of the ones in this article were D players. There must be some type of coach problem there, or something.
