And the starter will be...

I'm sure in a perfect world Stitt would like to play Brady little if at all this week and get him totally healthy for the playoffs in a couple weeks, but based on our road play not really sure he will be able to hold him out, unless he has more faith in Chalich than I think he does. And maybe Brady truly won't be ready so it will be a moot point.

In other words I have no clue like the rest of you.

One thing I do know, Brady Gustafson's road record is 1-3. He may be the risky choice.
1-2 last year. 2-5 overall. Recognizing we have posters who don't know what overall means....

Yeah - I was talking about his record with this year's team. But you are right, last year was nothing special either.

If per chance Chalich starts and is again instrumental in a win, what does Stitt do then? He used to take the ball @ every coin toss. Now he defers. I too, have no clue. But that's not only this week.

Gus! But if he over-throws a receiver, Chalich will be brought in immediately...which means, right after Gus' first pass.

Stick to what works: start chalich 1st half, bring in BG 2nd half, 2 punts, bring chalich back in.

We'll know on Saturday

Chalich starts, Brady gets more rest. Stitt has plenty of reasons to give Chalich another start and a plausible reason for not starting Gus. We need to win out, and Chalich has given the offense a much needed spark (and the ability to finish a drive.)

Tough to be a coach in these situations but a coach must go with whats best for the team. Had to switch out extra point kickers cause it wasn't getting done. If one receive is having a bad day and the other is not you must go with the hot hand to quote Stitt. QB is no different, only problem in this case is the last two games. Chalich had an awesome game that is for sure but can he do it again and if so stay consistent?.
That would make it important to play him again this week.

The EWU game saw a lot of good throws by Brady that were simply dropped, is that Brady's fault?

Brady has more playtime this year but Chalich does bring that extra element that Brady just does not have and that is mobility. That is not a dig on Brady at all its just simple fact just like Chalich does not have Brady's height, clearly one is more important than the other IMO
In a similar but not quite similar situation should Jerry Jones sit Dak Prescott when Tony Romo is ready to go or do whats best for the team.
I think he should play Chad this weekend or at least start him and see how it goes. Having two good QB's ready to go is a good thing. If Brady is on his game he too is tough to beat.

Chalich probably gets the start if there is any doubt on BG's health. No reason to rush him back if he is not feeling 100%. If Brady is 100% then Brady gets the start no question.

BG is the starter. There should be no doubt. It will be interesting though to see how long of a leash Stitt has for Gus in the playoffs....How early will Stitt go to Chalich if another NDSU type game performance happens? Hmmm....

Playoffs start Saturday, so we can't afford intransigence, mobility adds so much more to this offense and should be readily apparent.

What is "the QB that take the first snap of the first possession?" Pretty sure I got that one right. Alex I'll take "It Starts with Ch..." for a thousand.

I thought there were a bunch of "I know everything" people on here? They know the coaches, the players, the trainers, etc. Just ask them, they know who's starting. Although, I haven't seen an "I know but my sources say I can't tell you" thread yet...interesting.

If Gus is healthy and Stitt starts Chalich and the Griz do not win, this place will go nuts over Stitt's bad decision. On the other hand, if Gus is healthy and starts and the Griz lose, this place will go nuts over that decision. So what is the answer? Simple, whoever comes out first and leads the offense onto the field will be known as the starter. All I can say is WIN BABY WIN!

If Brady is healthy, he is the starter. 0 question
I hope Stitt is tuned into which Brady is showing up. He has to know this problem, by now. I'd say give Brady 1st QTR & if no production, bring in Chalich. The point is to win games, not satisfy the egos of either players or fans!

While I agree that BG hasn't always been good or "on", I don't think the way you and others have judged his performances matches with how the coaches have evaluated his performances. In fact, I believe the views of posters like Eriul and Hav are closer to the coaches' view than to yours (and others).
