With the extra attention from big media from the UW win, makes one wonder just how much this will mean to the university in the coming years beyond the $675k payday. Increased student enrollment, sponsorships, donations, athletic recruiting (for all sports), etc. etc.
But, I was just thinking how easy it is to give support to our student-athletes on social media with NIL now. You don't even have to have any money to donate. It just takes a second to "follow" someone on platforms like Twitter or Instagram. If someone has a Youtube channel (like Sammy Akem's: https://www.youtube.com/user/nothing2384/featured), all you need to do is hit the "Subscribe" button and preferably click/watch a video then "like" it. Views are everything nowadays. It's why there are millionaires on Youtube that just sit around playing video games every day.
Anyways, the reason for the post is that I was looking over Washington's roster and noticed UW includes social media links for their players on their bio pages. I hope Montana looks into doing the same thing as it makes finding and supporting all the athletes (even the lesser known backups) much easier.
